These guys are definitely sexier than most of the British models we’ve been having for breakfast recently Queerty, although to be fair they are rugby studs so I guess it’s to be expected.
BTW, don’t get the wrong impression over #5 – rugby players aren’t your typical jock: they tend to be somewhat uninhibited, and far less paranoid about being labelled as “queer” – something to do with a sport where only tough guys survive I guess. Unlike soccer players, they don’t need to constantly reaffirm their masculinity.

I love it. I love the playfulness, the realness of the photo’s. These photographs take us beyond gay-straight, beyond homophobia to a world where guys can be comfortable with each other, playful and even affectionate. The photos seem to capture a bond, a love between these guys. It would be so nice if the world was more this way. There would be much less homophobia and fear of those of us who are gay.

I’ve played rugby too. Nothing finer than scrumming with seven other sweaty men with thighs like tree trunks in the forward pack. I particularly liked the chances I had to play one of the lock positions. The pretty gazelles were in the back positions. They could run and twist and turn, but were easily damaged when a bull from the opposing forward pack abruptly stopped their forward momentum. Rugby tends to break down fears of close physical contact due to scrums, mauls, rucks, and lineouts. American football is such a sissy sport with all the pads and the stop and go play that allows everyone to catch their breath, and why separate defensive and offensive players on a team.

I think personally, the pics are rubbish. The socks dangling are really stupid and detract from the whole nature of the project. We have just done our own ‘Cafe & Bakery Boys’ calendar for a testicular cancer charity. Natural naked poses with relaxed and authentic to the pic items hiding the willies – for example, holding a box of cakes. The idea is to look natural whilst hiding the modesty. NOT just hanging around nude in unnatural poses.

Regarding the hunky guy in the forefront in pic#1, I would have liked to have seen his hair tousled and/or wet. With that adjustment, his sitting there wouldn’t have looked so posed or artificial. Rugby ~ if u right handed, be LEFT LOCK. In a tight scrum your right hand goes up between the legs of the PROP in front of you, and you grab his jersey and shorts tie round his mid section and pull as hard as hell down to knit and to make the scrum tight to get the ball out on your side. Much anatomy to enjoy in the process, and I never heard a single complaint during my Rugby days. In retrospect I think most of the guys liked doing it. I mean always a lot of nude horse play in the showers by the guys and considered quite normal. I think there is a lot of suppressed homosexuality in these contact sports. And they know it an like to push the limit. I always found it way too hot and fled to avoid my secret be discovered. LOL! Any Rubgy guy will confirm this.

I could never get into that situation because I knew I’d bone up in 1/2 a heart beat and then never live it down. It took me a FEW YEARS AFTER my Varsity days to come out. I remember the MOST difficult coming out experience was having to tell my best buddy who played in same team, that I was gay. I thought he would walkaway. He didn’t. Big Italian guy who had on a few occasion s got naked and prounced around with me and another guy ( the 3 of us were always together) and he told me he knew, and it didnt matter a bit to him. But next year they need to get an art director. In this day and age, when wankers can see more shaved-pubed amateurs on the Internet than they’ll ever get around to looking at a second time, you need an artistic eye to help you actually sell printed material. The awkward socks, the aimless futzing around, the waxing and threading like it were 2003 on the Jersey Shore, aren’t much different from the thousands of drunken selfies you can find on a lot of amateur sites.
