David Zepeda is a beloved telenovela star from Mexico known for his devilish good looks, booming voice, and chiseled 6’1 physique. He has nearly 3 million Instagram followers, with an additional 1 million followers on Facebook.
For the past eight years, the 45-year-old leading man has been in a relationship with Mexican actress Lina Radwan. That is, until last November when the couple quietly split up. Now, multiple Spanish language media outlets are reporting that the breakup was over Zepeda’s alleged bisexuality.
“At first, David was very nice with Lina, but over time he transformed,” a source who claims to be a close friend of the actor tells celebrity gossip rag TV Notas. “Especially in the last year, the relationship became hell for her.”
“David is bisexual,” the source continues. “One day he told me: ‘I also like men’, but he can not freely exercise his preference because his family is from Sonora and is very old-fashioned.”

“David considers that he has an image to take care of as a telenovela lover,” the source says. “When the sex video was leaked of him masturbating, he was very concerned that it would bring consequences in his career.”
In addition to appearing on several popular telenovelas, as well as a handful of American television shows including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, ER, and The Shield, Zepeda appeared nude in a group sex scene in the 2004 film Desnudos. He was also appeared naked on stage in the play Cuatro XXXX.
Zepeda has not yet responded to these latest bisexual rumors.

His gf of eight years was likely very well aware of the dimensions in his orientation and was cool with it and perhaps cool with him sometimes hooking up with guys. Just as more and more gay dudes are hooking up with chicks out of their stable same-sex relationships. But if he has overall romantic, sexual, relationship preferences towards dudes, only really wants to be with a guy, desires persistent same-sex affections and mostly seriously dates chicks because of public image and his parents then that’s more of a gay issue than bi problem. Plenty of men get it on with dudes on the side in their hetero relationships and their females partners are cool with it, and they have healthy, satisfied, comfortable relationships. But that’s a whole other debate.
I never know how much to buy into the friend leaking information stuff. Sometimes it’s the person themselves leaking the information in preparation of a coming out. And sometimes it’s just made up BS. But if it’s really a friend then that person is no “friend”. Either way, good luck to all the parties.

If he wanted to dally with men while being married to a woman, it’s not fair for the woman to be expected to accept it. Nevertheless, most women tend to be hostile to the mere idea of male bisexuality and not just when it’s acted upon.

It depends on the person, the background and the generation. But he’s an actor. “Queerness” is fairly persistent in that professional. Also, if we’re to believe the “friend” his dimensions are known in his circle. So, it’s highly doubtful his gf was ignorant all these years. He’s also apparently grown increasingly unfulfilled/dissatisfied in his straight relationship, has grown hostile towards his female partner, has overall same-sex preferences and wants to be with a guy but feels he can’t because of his parents and his image. That makes this more of a gay thing than the stereotypical “bi guy” issues.

And when you have money and you’re good-looking (especially if you have money) it isn’t that difficult to find someone who will put up with anything. Besides, I doubt he’s that concerned about his ex and is more worried about his career and his status as a soap hunk who all the ladies want.
