If you haven’t heard the sugary-sweet pop hit “Call Me Maybe” yet, you’re behind the curve. But that’s okay because we’re introducing the gay take on the trend to you.
Herewith, West Hollywood gays’ tribute to the crazy-catchy song… featuring Randy Blue porn star Nicco Sky, J.Lo backup dancer Matt McCall, and major drag queen Rhea Litre.
And, now that you are utterly addicted to the song, watch the real music video for it. It’s got a ripped tatted-out model boy pushing a lawnmower (shirtless, obvi), and he has a little gay secret at the end (a man that hot couldn’t not have one).
Props to Woody Woodbeck aka Hollywoody for producing the video.

Blocked in my country by youtube.. probably for the better.

this would be a lot less painfully awkward to watch if half of them at least knew the words to the song they were lipsynching
Mr. Enemabag Jones
Carly Rae Jepsen is a nice Canadian girl, so I know the song. And the hot neighbour is Canadian model, Holden Nowell. He’s from Calgary, Alberta, but I won’t hold that against him. Unlike my penis, which I would hold right up against him.
Allnighter
Also Woody!
Arrghhh why can’t people learn the lyrics before attempting a lip sync!!!

Seriously, Queerty? YOU’RE introducing the gay take? Did you not see the original video? IT WAS the gay take!

gays are having their rights taken away every day, but they choose to lip-sync (badly) a pop song instead of standing up and fighting for their rights. we are all playing right into their hands. Stand up and fight. I live in west hollywood and gay central could give a shit about gay rights as long as they get to go home from the Abbey with some hot guy. It’s tough fighting for rights when the people who should be fighting with you are drunk gay guys. #god hates facts

I much prefer the sultry Charlie Puth cover to the sugar pop version… http://youtu.be/ln8uFYyITX4

@castroburger: Going home with a hot guy from the Abbey and pushing for gay rights are not mutually exclusive.

@castroburger: I couldn’t agree with you more about the fact that so many of us are horribly apathetic, but Evan’s point is correct. In fact, a number of the people in the video have been very involved in fighting for change around LGBT issues for many years and still are. Check out the link at the end of the video to IN THE MOMENT, the HIV prevention campaign I produce or if you’re in LA drop by one of the many LGBT charity fundraisers organized by @hollywoody who produced the video with me. Thanks though, for being somebody who cares. There are far too few of us. 🙂
