For as forward-thinking as Sex and the City was for its time, the show hasn’t aged well. From Samantha’s problematic views towards the trans community, to Carrie’s complete denial that bisexuals are, in fact, real, there’s a lot about the once-beloved show that makes us absolutely cringe today.

I thought it was amusing, because people just didn’t talk that way in the ’90s: either the vocabulary OR the pompous, know-it-all tone. Don’t know about you but I never heard the word “cisgender” for instance until about 2012.

I was a kid when this series came out, so I didn’t really watch it or get into it. But I did see one of the movies on a VERY long flight from Miami to Brazil…and couldn’t effing figure out why ANYONE would watch this crap. But congratulations; whoever came out with these memes made this just that much more unbearable.
