Michele Bachmann isn’t gone yet, but it’s never too soon to look back on the rich legacy she leaves behind as she retires as the President of Crazyland. She has created a new form of English, in which syntax is, to put it kindly, flexible, but it’s the heartfelt content of her remarks that we went looking for. Michele being Michele, we had an embarassment (and that is the word) of riches to choose from. There are plenty more to be had, but here is a list of some of her nuttiest anti-gay remarks.
“It worked before and what it says is the issue of sexuality is one that doesn’t come up and people aren’t allowed to be open about it because the United States military, it’s not a social experiment.” Michele on why she would reinstate Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell despite the considered opinion of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the (Republican) Secretary of Defense and just about anyone else who knows anything.

““I would like to see the lack of demonization for those of us who stand on sincerely held religious beliefs. It’s overdue. That’s where you see the demonization of people who stand on their beliefs.” Michele claiming the victimhood trophy for all the homophobes like her.”
You and your ilk were the first ones to demonize all of us. You and your religions started this war against us. Saying that we all, by default, we all are SUPPOSEDLY spiritually and morally bankrupt. That we SUPPOSEDLY need our “gay demons” exorcised out of us. Good riddance to you and your fake ass, sissy “husband”.

He’s about to leave her for his male lover.

When people talk crazy like that they lose all credibility.

Well, in her shoes, I might be telling myself about now, that if I ducked out of the public’s eye for a reasonable period, I might be able to put together an affair with an actual heterosexual man before I turned into a complete fossil.

As long as you’re not making laws anymore, Chelly, I suppose we wouldn’t begrudge you that minor indulgence.

Considering the REAL reasons she is leaving office I wonder if she is aware that hypocrites like her, once upon a time, were stoned to death. No, I doubt she is aware of that fact. To be aware of that would mean she does understand religion, its hypocrisy and just what she IS saying as well.

“I would like to see the lack of demonization for those of us who stand on sincerely held religious beliefs…”- That happens when people like you stop being a born again hypocrite in the name of JC. And stop giving JC a bad name. Hmmm… I am not holding my breath.

I, for one, am sad to see her go. The more people on the far right that talk nonsense like Ole Crazy Eyes, the more the left seems rational, cogent and the better political choice for independents. I wish her well in her future endeavors and hopes she eventually burns in hell for her hatred.

What an unpleasant woman. When she’s moldering in the grave, her words will still be left behind, harming, stirring up hatred, and polluting the world. Why are people such as this brought into existence? Who listens to her, besides her husband, approaching her from the rear?

We do not demonize religious people. We demonize hypocritical bigots. Hopefully Michele will go back to the kitchen now and bake her “husband” some humble pie for them to share because in her religious view women belong in the home.
