This past Sunday former Olympic speed skater Blake Skjellerup joined the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender Community Center to welcome riders as they returned to New York City after a 275-mile journey to support Center HIV/AIDS programs. The Center closed off part of 13th Street for a special block party celebrating the 20th Annual Cycle for the Cause. Cyclists rode from Boston to New York on the three-day ride. With community help and support, the Cycle for the Cause has raised millions of dollars for the HIV and AIDS related programs and services of The Center.
