Billy Porter met Cher for the first time last night when he ran into her on the red carpet in Los Angeles. His reaction? The Pose star told the icon he’d been “waiting for this moment my whole life!”
Among those to comment was Queer Eye’s Bobby Berk, who said, “This just made me instantly start crying.” Actor and singer Luke Evans simply commented, “Beyond.”
Porter and Cher attended the taping of NBC’s Carol Burnett: 90 Years Of Laughter Love. The two-hour show was recorded at Avalon Hollywood & Bardo in LA.

Porter was among the musical performers on the night. These also included Bernadette Peters, Jane Lynch, Katy Perry and Kristen Chenoweth.

Carol Burnett: 90 Years Of Laughter Love will air on April 26th, which will be Burnett’s 90th birthday.
Smith and Porter dates for a year in 2009, split, and then got back together in 2015.

Bea, Miss Pea really should have done a full curtsy for our Queen Cher. But the air kiss prevents the possibility of the intermingling of the makeup. Talk about a mess!
No need to project your anti-Billy feelings on her. I doubt she was nauseated. She’s a pro, very pro-LGBTQ, and knows another talent when she seems them.
I don’t see the connection between Burnett and Porter, nor Katy Perry. I’ve never understood some of the choices in these types of honoring shows, e.g. Kennedy Center Honors, some of the choices of performers are head scratchers. It’s really a shame Cher doesn’t perform, she was always a hoot when guesting on the Burnett show. Porter aside, I’m looking forward to watching.
