Thirsty haters got a taste of the brand new Britney last night when the Queen of Pop released the first video teaser for “Work Bitch” on Instagram.
The 10-second video may not be very long, but it’s been more than enough to send diehard Britney fans into a pop coma before the release of the singer’s eighth studio album this December. The full video, which will feature Godney in some scantily clad getups and heavy choreography, will premiere on The CW on October 1.
Haters will hate, but Britney’s team is doing a fantastic job at squashing rumors surrounding her upcoming Las Vegas residency. Britney’s manager, Larry Rudolph, has confirmed that Godney will be singing live during every show and, contrary to misinformation reported by Radar Online, pre-sales for the show have proven it “the best-selling show in the history of Vegas.”
If you’re hoping to get tickets, you better move fast, Bitch! Rudolph says VIP packages for all shows sold out “instantaneously,” and several shows have already sold out three months in advance.

Haters are going to hate, and rightfully so. Here’s an “artist” that’s completely factory sealed. And fake as they come. She may have sold out or whatever but sooner or later people are gonna get tired of seeing her lip sync.
With Gaga, Perry and Adele in the picture, Britney just isn’t up to par.

@tardis: You must feel so proud coming on here to bash someone just because you don’t personally care for their style or music.

@brilliant2000: I choose my words carefully and I apologize if I came off strong. I wish Britney continued success in her personal and professional life.

@tardis: Wishing Britney success in her personal life? LMGAO. I wouldn’t bother.

@brilliant2000: Tardis is exactly right, and I’m disappointed he didn’t double down. Britney and frankly the vast majority of contemporary popular music is essentially content-free. Any comparison to the Top 100 now and 30, 40, or 50 years ago is all the proof you need.
Frank Zappa pretty effectively eviscerated the modern music industry in an interview he gave a while back on The Cutting Edge. The main problem is that record companies exercise more aesthetic control than they ever used to, and so few major artists experiment the way they used to. Instead of subjecting an experimental album to the court of public opinion, the public is taken out – the albums have already been sanitized so as to appeal to as large an audience as possible. The result is hardly surprising: content-free, factory-sealed crap that’s more a commodity than a piece of art. It is without question that this generation, my generation, is musically impoverished, and it’s sad. Can you imagine a Bob Dylan today? Or a Beethoven? I can’t. They’d have been weeded out by the soulless bureaucrats who control the means of musical production.

Everyone has their own opinion so calling someone a ‘hater’ for having an opinion that differs to yours is pretty ignorant, The songs good it grew on me, but I think she has lost herself in her fame, when she does interviews she sounds like she’s reading from a script, its like she’s not confident enough to actually speak her mind. I just wonder why she puts herself through it, other than the fact she makes a huge amount of money for a lot of people, who I doubt genuinely care about her happiness and wellbeing I get the impression they are gona ride this thing till the wheels fall off lol

Compared to Linda Rondstadt, Aretha Franklin, Pat Benetar, Karen Carpenter, et al – Britney just ain’t got the pipes.

At least when she’s off her meds she’s interesting.

I love the song, but the video does not look too good

Is Britney still trying to cheat us with her fake singing, is she? For a long time, she lip-synched and/or mimed her way through concerts for which her fans had paid expensive tickets, making a ton of money in the process.
Note also that she doesn’t seem to be very comfortable with the gay male aesthetic in her music videos. They always seem to contain a lot of half-naked women rather than half-naked men. She embraces the straight guy fantasy rather than the gay male aesthetic.
I honestly don’t think she really cares about us gay guys. She’s a total hack.

If I hear another gay guy say that Britney is on our side, I think I’m going to scream. She’s your typical phony. I don’t think she’s ever marched in a gay marriage rights parade. Her comments on gay marriage are almost non-existent.
Her act is based on fake lesbianism designed to titillate straight guys. Her videos contain virtually no hunks and certainly no male-male sexuality that I can recall. She and her video directors appear to avoid showing anything that might suggest male-male sexuality or sensuality.

I have to hand it to Brittney, she has recovered from her near-career-ending meltdown. Brava. This is about as good as Brittney can be. Plays to all her strengths and compensates for her weaknesses. Exactly what every other successful singer does.

@FelicitasPope: Girl your Aunty Savannah got that clunker working on her back for Bubba Leroy. He has a group of sale gals that feature a little extra poundage and one tooth in the front of their head. Oh and doll, that car is 20 years old.

I’m not a diehard fan, but I like her music. I don’t really get why it matters if she sings live at this point. Her career hasn’t relied on her vocal range so far.
