Carmen Carrera has had enough.
The former Drag Race contestant and trans activist took to Instagram to share a portion of a text conversation with Caitlyn Jenner, along with a heated account of what happened next.
“Hey it’s Caitlyn we need to talk,” Jenner initially wrote to Carrera. “Instead of putting negative things out in the press, about me, which hurts what I’m doing, you should be aware of what I’m actually doing. Call me and I’ll give you an update.”
Jenner’s note refers to an interview Carrera gave to TMZ in which she spoke out against Jenner being honored at an event for her work in the transgender community, urging her not to get caught up in the distraction of her celebrity.

Carrera’s comments were not actually negative or mean-spirited. Carrerra was really asking that Jenner make herself and her resources more available to the many unsung heroes fighting for the trans community.
Carrera responded:
“Although I’m happy someone has knocked some sense into you, please don’t forget about how I came to you with ideas of moving this movement outwards and you said you’d help but you never did. If you’d like to have dinner to apologize and make it up to me, lets do it. Less talking, more doing.”
That’s when Jenner reportedly went radio silent, again.
Carrera says she then contacted Sophia Hutchinson, who is close with Jenner, to ask what was up.
That led to this exchange:
“A bridge? A bridge would entail having a connection between both sides. Cait is a flake,” responded Carrera.

Carrera posted all the texts to Instagram, along with a detailed account of the context:
Listen, I have a very out going personality, especially when I care about someone. I met Caitlyn Jenner at her house in Malibu when she first transitioned. I gifted her an amazing gift basket with sentimental things to get her through her transition, never asked for a photo or even for a spot on her now cancelled reality show because I wanted to show that I genuinely cared and wanted a friendship with her to help her grow. Sisterhood.
I made myself very available (even offering my advice on how to feminize her living space when I was asked by her production managers because she didn’t know). I also asked if she wanted to help me spread equality throughout Latin America because I knew it was a big job I couldn’t do alone.
What I found was this lady’s ego is way too big for no reason and she’s the most selfish person I’ve ever met. She even told me to my face that she “wanted to be #1”, whatever that means. Doing humanitarian work means you have to actually be a human.
Honestly, what does she actively do everyday for trans folks? And why does she take credit for what real activists are doing? Who even is she?.. A retired athletic hero turned background reality star, who is now stealing credit from the already disenfranchised trans community all for her own public benefit?
God please protect me because I know I got that east coast mouth when I gotta speak the truth. I cant stay quiet anymore and I refuse to kiss someone’s butt or fear someone else especially when I can see right through the bs.
@caitlynjenner if you want to be a real hero, run a few triathlons and donate the money to these LGBTQ organizations who really need it. Be active with us, HUMBLE YOURSELF and let your “celebrity” take a backseat.
Be who you really are instead of who you think you need to be to gain more popularity. I will not let you take advantage of my people. Also, since you’re too much of a coward to communicate, please do not send your sidekick to handle your dirty work. She’s just as fake as you are. @hutchins_sophia

In my opinions, it seems like she herself is looking for attention….I’m not saying she is wrong on her opinion of Caitlyn Jenner, but at the same time, her response to the text messages and the further twitting of these massages seems like she was looking to be recognized at all costs. Her response seems rude, self-centered and in a blackmailish tone, with the whole TMZ thing. Whatever this is, it doesn’t help her cause…

These are two public figures. With one of them, Caitlyn, notoriously known for doing anything it takes to feed her fame (along with her family). It’s fine when it’s all shits and giggles, but she’s been wanting to be a spokesperson and the face of the trans community, and has often supported things that go against the very community she tries to defend. Being called out for poor representation is not vindictive or low after trying to reach out in the past.
A lot of trans people feel the way that Carrera does, but Carrera has had the power to be close to her and tried to reach out.

Oh geez..i know what they both love…DRAMA
kent25
they should fight it out on Jerry Springer lmao
Donston
Another situation where everyone involved comes off desperate and looney. However, Jenner is the perfect example of mistakenly latching onto anyone because you’re looking for representation and/or someone to further a cause.
Chrisk
Of all things to criticize Jenner for and her big point is that she didn’t share enough of the spotlight. Yeah someone selfish all right..
DCguy
Jenner actively supported Trump and the GOP. Trump stated he would appoint judges to harm lgbt civil rights and the Republicacns have a plank in their platform specifically attacking lgbts.
The sheer out of touch arrogance of Jenner comes across when they seem to be telling Carrara, a Trans Woman, that she knows nothing about the issue.

Agreed.
ElPillo
This is a cat fight, still Jenner is a step back for the community, the tocken trans for anti-socia-justice conservatives
DarkZephyr
Honestly, I am not the biggest Caitlyn Jenner fan, but posting private conversations online is f**ked up AND the only people I see being overtly rude in ANY of these conversations is Carmen.
Billy Budd
Clash of egos. Drama queens who are both obssessed about being celebrities. But Jenner is the real enemy here, for her political choices particularly. Jenner is nuts. Complete and utter madness.
DarkZephyr
She has made a drastic change in her political views in many respects though.
RoughRugger
Um…the only political view she’s “changed” is that she’s FINALLY realized & acknowledged what all segments of the LGBTQ+ community told her all along: that Orange Foolius was the worst possible thing that could’ve happened to us at this stage of our fight. Beyond that, she’s still kowtowing to the GOP establishment as if any of them would be willing to p*ss on her if she were on fire.
Caitlyn is out for Caitlyn, period. That has not changed, and she’s shown zero sign that it ever will.
valentino888
It verified what we all suspected of Jenner. And what “bridge”? A bridge to the GOP? Jenner, if ANYONE, has burned bridges. Constantly. Endless pleading by friends and supporters not to go for Trump…and she refused to listen. Somebody who helped trans people LOSE rights (which has happened recently) can never, ever be trusted. But as always, Jenner cannot stand to be out of the spotlight. “I want to be #1” she said. #1 what? And you know exactly who that sounds like.
Shaugn
Thank you Carmen. Jenner is and always has only one agenda, herself. This one time rich white man, may have made some physical changes, but has not and most probably will not be able to see the struggle of the trans and general LGBT community. In nearly 70 years of living the silver spoon is still firmly held in her mouth and head is still up her ass.

P.S. I do not think she will be able to get to the big hitters in the Republican party. They have to evolve and some become human.
