Editor’s note: We’ve asked online comedian, voice actor and chest hair model Sam Kalidi to create a new meme each week for Queerty readers. This week he investigates how the man upstairs feels about legalizing same-sex marriage, both in the U.S. and Ireland. Sam looks forward to all your hate mail. You can find him on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and at your local glory hole.

Before we get on our high horses, let’s keep in mind our American gay meccas have their own seismic and meteorological problems. Even New York City, not designed for it, had an earthquake just a few years ago, followed by two hurricanes.

Gotta love it! So natural! Go Ireland!
Mykaels
Yeah I mistakenly posted this to my facebook feed and lost several friends because of it. I thought it was hilarious, but living in Austin, Texas, I know, or I guess I should say knew, people who lost everything, here, in Dallas, and in Houston.
Daggerman
..what is it about people? This infuriates me so much…they’re harming themselves simply by being so stupid and so unfair…
orcanyc
LOVE IT, so very true!!!
Kev
Not funny.
Caligari
Some friends, Mykaels.

I’m waiting for Pat Robertson to blame God for the floods in Texas because they banned gay marriage. He always blames God for natural disasters.
Billy Budd
God has spoken. He is on our side and I have just become a believer. LOL
Oncelove
Not cool men~ using disaster as a joke.
Isn’t this kinda what WBS does?
Come on.
JustSayin
This is very disturbing and not just for using disaster so tastelessly.
It implies that gay people are on the same level as so many of the religious KOOKS who use similar ‘reasoning’ to ‘verify’ God’s disapproval of us.
Mr-DJ
Apparently a lot the people commenting here have not been keeping up, and miss the whole point. It is not making a joke of the disastrous flooding here (I live in Houston), nor is it putting us on the same level as the religious kooks. It is throwing the very thing they think they are using against us, right back in their face. We need to make them see the ridiculousness of the whole thing. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. Maybe an “Aha Moment” would help stop THEM from doing this very thing so often, thus achieving a greater goal/good.
Chris
Hilarious…and as Bette Midler would say to those who don’t see the ironic humor in this: “f**k ’em if they can’t take a joke.”
jwtraveler
@Mykaels: I assume they were Facebook Friends, not real friends.
ryuichi
god is very smart

I’d just love to hear what those Christolunatic bigots have to say about this.

That guy you used in the thumbnail preview for this article on the front page, is it Larry Birkhead?
Xzamilio
And this is why I cannot stand religion… using a stupid meme to talk about how “God” kills people because of the personal feelings and goals of one group. I guess there’s a drought in California because God hates people who drink water or are there a bunch of brides praying for no rain on their wedding day and God’s hooked them all up for the rest of the summer?
GayEGO
I know that there are some bad, negative, religious teachings, but some churches are changing and accepting LGBTs and even performing same-gender marriages. There are some good, positive things they teach which needs to be emphasized and the negative stuff should be discarded as well as the entire Westboro Baptist Church!
As for the rainbows, yay for the gay! Mother Nature is on our side.
Dakotahgeo
@GayEGO: Thank you! Your comment, plus my morning coffee, made my day! I tire of church/religion bashers who have no idea what the church has become today, and I’m eternally grateful they aren’t interested!

@Mr-DJ:
Speaking of missing the point, and then exposing yourself missing the point entirely by pointing to someone elses bad anti-social conduct to excuse your own, is not an excuse…it is a discombobulated compound of anti-social behavior.
My own opinion is God has no interest NONE in what we men do with our dicks!
Mr-DJ
@Maude: Maude, I wholeheartedly agree with your opinion.

They have yet to find the children of those two families, whose house, on stilts, was carried down the river until a bridge overhead broke the house apart. The husband survived with a broken sternum and rib. The dog was found alive and in a tree. They are still looking for everyone else. Even if these victims were vehemently anti-gay, I wouldn’t want this to happen to anyone. ‘Tards like Pat Robertson can rub salt in everyone’s wounds, but let’s rise above that stuff.
jake2015
Okay, first off, kudos for Ireland for making the marriage legal. Second, I’m a skeptical Catholic, so praise God for miracles and don’t use His name as a source of misfortune for Texas. Third, even though everyone knows this, God IS and always will be loving to His children, so if and when He sees His children happy, He’s also happy by making rainbows and showering us with His blessings.
Also, you guys can also support my comment for this post because this is actually a true story. If God wasn’t or isn’t loving, I would have died when I was 16 by drowning, or become a disabled person with a missing left leg because it was stuck in a gap between the platform and the train and the train was about to start and unknowingly decapitate my leg. But those things didn’t happen to me because I was saved. Of course people saved me but God saves people in the form of other people. And I believed that He did save my life because I also believed that He is loving and that belief was born when I was a kid and discovered God.
So the thing is guys, if you all are still alive today and are reading this comment, it means that God will not abandon you in the same way He did and will keep on doing for me.
Dakotahgeo
@jake2015: AMEN! You’re spot on the mark! Thank you!
Stache99
@jake2015: So in other words, people that drowned or got hit by a train must have deserved it since God didn’t love them as much I guess.
Do you even realize just how insane you sound?
jake2015
@Stache99: Everyone’s allowed to love or hate the idea of the comment that I just posted and it is up to them to either believe or doubt it or think that I’m insane or not. I get it that you’re also skeptical but here’s the point in this comment: it’s all up to you. People will keep on needing hope. Here’s an answer.
