Anticipation for The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story continues to ramp up.
The 2018 series, helmed by executive producer Ryan Murphy, stars Darren Criss as Andrew Cunanan, Edgar Ramirez as Gianni Versace, Ricky Martin as Gianni’s boyfriend Antonio D’Amico, and Penelope Cruz as Donatella Versace.

Now, Entertainment Weekly gives us our the first official look at how Cruz plans to fill Donatella’s black strappy sandals. Channeling the fashion doyenne in a fever-dream-pink party frock, Cruz is wedged between two Speedo-clad pieces of cheesecake… while cozily sitting at a pool at the Miami Beach mansion, where Gianni lived and was murdered by Cunanan in 1997.

did donatella ever look that good? she looks more like paris hilton.

Penelope looks better than Donatella. They should have casted Cloris Leachman in a blond wig to play Donatella.

Interesting cast, and of course I’ll watch it. But Donatella Versace wishes she looked that good.

Penelope Cruz is a great actress so I’m sure she’ll be great acting wise, but looks wise Penelope is a hottie, which is nothing like Donatella Versace. Although, I think back in the day before Donatella had so much work done to her face that she actually wasn’t that bad looking.

I wonder id Donatella had any say in how she was portrayed because this casting seems like a fantasy version of what Donatella wishes she looked like. Even before she ruined herself with bad surgery she never looked this good.

Of course she doesn’t doesn’t look much like Donatella. But Penelope Cruz wants to be in your TV show you put her in it.
