Of Course NOM’s Creepy Rabbi Blames Gays For Yesterday’s Earthquake

It was only a matter of time before some homophobe blamed New York’s passage of marriage equality for yesterday’s eastern earthquake. We’re just happy that it came from the National Organization for Marriage’s BFF Rabbi Yehuda Levin. If you’ll remember Rabbi Levin—a man that NOM regularly marches with and lets speak at their rallies—blamed gay marriage for the recent dismemberment of an 8-year-old boy, so it makes sense that he’d also blame gays for natural disasters—because that’s just the way the Old Testament Yaweh likes to roll. Also, keep in mind that NOM regularly marches with Rabbi Levin and lets him speak at their events, which means they must agree with what he says, right?

Rabbi Levin is HOMO-HOT-&-BOTHERED and he looks like a prophet from the .99 cent store. His ignorant “God-says-so” attitude towards homosexuality, (which only reinforces that he is HOMO-HOT-&-BOTHERED) certainly would only come from a discount bin of worn-out, used bad ideas. His associates at the National Organization for Marriage Inequality might be brainwashed gay-bashing zombies for Jesus, and think that this bearded Jew is going to hell for not accepting Jesus (he’s a total fucktard for not realizing that they use him as a pawn and don’t give a damn about his attachment to Judaism) but Rabbit Levin is a brainwashed gay-bashing zombie for Moses. I’m not going to predict when Rabbi Levin will be found sleazing on Craigslist, or inserting his cock into a hole in the Wailing Wall, but he is obviously HOMO-HOT-&-BOTHERED. If you gave a deluded loony like him half a chance, he would tell you that each fart coming out of his asshole is a warning from God.

But God hates the Midwest, Texas, and Florida the most by virtue of natural disasters, so what does it all mean? WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

Religion’s so stupid. If something bad happens, it can always be read as a test or a punishment.

I couldn’t find food for a week so God was punishing me for my wicked ways until I repented. Or I couldn’t find food for a week because God wanted to test the strength of my virtue and service to him. Maybe I just didn’t have any money.

You really can’t win an argument with blind faith.

Remember, NOM is a Mormon Front Group.

The Mormon Church appears to have created the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) in the summer of 2007 to qualify California’s Proposition 8 for the November 2008 ballot. They set it up as a Mormon front group, exactly as they did with a very similar organization called Hawaii’s Future Today (HFT) in that state in 1995. HFT was established to pass a constitutional amendment in Hawaii to ban same-sex marriage.
Californians against Hate created this website to detail this as well as showing that most of NOM’s board members are high ranking Mormons or have significant family ties to high ranking Mormons

@Cam: I thought Maggie Gallagher and Brian Brown were both Catholic. Also, I thought a large percentage of their donations came from high-ranking conservative Catholic groups like the Knights of Columbus.

No. 6, correct. The roman cult is also one of the major donors, that’s why NOM is resisting two court orders on appeal to disclose who the big players are. I only hope it loses both which could signal the downfall of NOM. Gallagher-Srivastav and Brown’s days are numbered. Remember, the archdiocese of New York contributed over $500,000 to defeat Maine’s marriage equality law and won. I daresay, the Knights of Colubmus, it’s shill, matched it. The latter donated more than $1 million regarding defeat of Prop. 8. Sooner or later, their luck will run out.

“The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat, so practice and observe whatever they tell you – but not what they do. For they preach, but do not practice. They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger. They do all their deeds to be seen by others. For they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long, and they love the place of honor at feasts and the best seats in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces and being called rabbi by others. But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers.”

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the Kingdom of Heaven in people’s faces. For you neither enter yourselves, nor allow those who would enter to go in.” Matthew 23:25

^ That’s Big Sky Daddy, not me. [But quoted for Truth.]

Maybe these folks should actually READ the Bible for a change of pace.

Yes, God’s punishment for New York passing gay marriage was apparently a gentle nudge that resulted in countless tipped-over chairs and spilt chai lattes. Truly He is a fearsome and vengeful deity.

Rabbi Fredish Phelpstein here also blamed the Haiti earthquake on gays…because Yahweh obviously needed to smite Haiti for being like, the San Francisco of the Caribbean.

Nevermind the fact that Haiti is an officially Catholic nation that persecutes any gay Haitian who steps out of the closet.

“Religion. The tool of tools.” (trademark if trademarked)

“Religion. The tool of fools.” (trademark if trademarked)

One, the other, or both? I’ll go for both!

Don’t always agree with the Crusty, but I do like this one very much. I guess them heavy duty religious dudes are down on their knees so much they miss the obvious: the all-powerful omnipotent God either hates the anti-gay wingnuts and the anti-gay wingnut Gov and AG of Virginia OR God has really bad aim.

Since the Torah is taken from the old testament, I wonder if this homo-hating bigot also condones killing one’s wife for adultery or children for insolence. Polygamy too isn’t condemned in the old testament. I just get the feeling he’s protesting far too much, let’s hope he’s not one of us. When you’re that ugly, what else is there to do but hide behind religion? I recall seeing several orthodox Jews on West Street in Greenwich Village dressed in their garb during the early 80s picking up young men and I’m sure it wasn’t about proselytizing.

It’s funny because I use to have sex with a Rabbi from Williamsburg! why? just because! they are very tabu. he would like to watch family incest orgies on line then get it on. I’ll tell you disrobing was funny to watch the amount of clothing they wear. but he loved holding a dick and having his ass played with. Then he would leave and go back to being a hate the queers mission.

You’re right, remember, the memo that was discovered and publicized that showed the collaboration between the Mormons and Catholics when they partnered to stop gay marriage in Hawaii. They are working together again through NOM

Here is a link to the memo showing the Mormon and Catholic ties in fighting against gay rights.

Wherever you look in the Bible, YHWH is always blaming victims, so it’s not surprising that this rabbi follows the lead of his vengeful, bloodthirsty god. As EvilBible points out:

      4) Laws of Rape (Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NLT)

If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.

What kind of lunatic would make a rape victim marry her attacker? Answer: God.

I’m sure we could find a preacher who looks the part, and who is willing to blame the hateful bigots. God destroyed Sodom because the people did not welcome the strangers, and all that…

The thing that is good about this is that there are not very many preachers who are now willing to blame the gays for every natural disaster. Twenty years ago, the TV would have been _full_ of rabbis and priests competing for air time. This time, I have only seen the one.

The Rabbi apparently is all to willing to forget that Maggie and Brian’s religion still believes that Jews and other non-catholics are destined for hell — and yes there’s that pesky detail about their church taking centuries to quit blaming the Jews for Jesus’ murder.

You gotta love how this Rabbi is actually saying “God was totally fine with 6 million of my people being exterminated in the Holocaust but he doesn’t want two women marrying.”

This is video isn’t saying “God Hates Gays”, it’s saying “God Doesn’t Care if Jews are Exterminated”
