Police raid Cher’s Malibu mansion days before her album drops

Just two days before the release of her highly anticipated (and very satisfying) ABBA cover album, Dancing Queen, police raided Cher‘s Malibu mansion and arrested her assistant’s son.

Ventura County police executed a search warrant for the property and promptly arrested 23-year-old Donovan Ruiz on suspicion of supplying narcotics that were involved in a drug overdose.

Detectives also reportedly obtained evidence in the home of illegal drug sales.

Cher was not home during the time of the raid, which included cops, firefighters and paramedics storming the scene.

Ruiz’s bail was set at $500,000 and he’s due to appear in court on October 1, facing the charge of sale of a controlled substance.

Cher is currently on tour in Australia.
