Report: John Travolta Tried To Pull A Fast One On Grease Co-Star Jeff Conaway

Jeff Conaway, who played the smooth-talkin’ Kenickie alongside John Travolta’s love-struck Danny Zuko, might have been the unwilling recipient of oral sex from Travolta.

Conaway’s widow, Vikki Lizzi, tells the National Enquirer that Travolta was staying over their house in the 90’s when he tried to give a sleeping Conaway oral sex in the early morning. The Enquirer article is not online yet, but it is quoted in the Post.

Conaway died in May 2011 from pneumonia at the age of 60.

Here’s more:

The late Conaway allegedly said he was so dismayed to wake up and find his friend giving him oral sex that it ended his long relationship with Travolta. Lizzi told the tabloid that Conaway made the claim in a suicide note he left after a failed bid to kill himself in 2006…

Lizzi also claimed that Conaway told her that Travolta, 58, and his wife, Kelly Preston, were locked in a sham marriage.

“Jeff told me that John and Kelly’s marriage was an arrangement,” she told Star magazine. “Jeff said that Kelly knows that John is gay, and that’s why she’s OK with it.”

And that’s not all. The Enquirer article interviews masseur-and-more Luis Gonzales, who had some great gay sex with Danny Zuko. “Travolta may not identify himself as a gay man, but it doesn’t dismiss the fact that he likes sex with men.. and he’s experienced at it. I know because I had sex with him, and he loved it.”

And, yes, there’s even more folks. Radar Online says a gym employee is the fourth man to accuse Travolta of sexual harassment.

Responded Travolta’s lawyer Marty Singer, who’s doing overtime deflection these days: “This spate of recklessly published tabloid stories is just part of a malicious tabloid agenda to boost lagging sales by running outrageous defamatory stories about my client.”

of course, the National Enquirer has a spotless reputation for journalistic integrity…. sort of like Queerty, though gotta give Queerty this: they don’t run any “lesbian nun gives birth to gay sasquatch after transsexual aliens abducted her” headlines.

A prison created in ones own mind and life is hell. Very sad that he can’t be who he should be publicly. Sucks to be him….glad I’m out and not living a lie.

@ajax: Just because the paper had a couple legit articles doesn’t mean the rest of them are true. In every situation, citation is needed.

Since the claim is that it was included in a suicide note then I’m going to assume someone can produce it & verify if it’s really from Mr. Conway. Otherwise, who knows as he’s not alive to affirm or deny this.

More likely planted to keep him in the public eye.

Meanwhile… “unwanted recipient of oral sex” is not an idea you hear of often.

The National Enquirer actually has a very good record. While they tend to publish salacious stories and sometimes uses paid sources the vast majority of the time the Enquirer has proven to correct. When the Enquirer has been wrong they have also been very good about publishing retractions/corrections.

Catch “CONTRACTED” short film at the Philadelphia Qfest 2012 – looks rather like it was well time with pithy repartee and a close look at the perils of closeted stardom all wrapped up in a sexy satire….

      With a wonderful line “I’m not gay for god’s sake – I’m a scientologist”

Homophobia as usual. Would he have been distraught if it was a woman? Nope. Enough of this homosexual panic nonsense.

And how deep a sleeper one has to be to wake up in the middle of a blow job?

Really? The same National Enquirer that was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for investigatind and breaking the John Edwards story?

And as for that “Attack the Messenger” tactic, that is the same phony response that Clay Aiken, Ricki Martin, Rosie O’Donnell, Queen Latifa’s publicists used before they came out.

      So nice try.

If true, it’s attempted rape. And yes, I’ve heard of a straight man who was disturbed by waking up finding himself hugged by a female he didn’t want a relationship with. (I heard it from the man himself, actually.) Had there been more than hugging, that friendship would probably also have been over.

There can very well be smoke without a fire, it’s called unfounded rumors and harassment. But if most of this is true, maybe it would be better for everyone involved it JT came out as at least bisexual.

@Andy: Homophobia? Seriously? I had someone attempt to blow me while I was asleep. I broke his nose kicking him away before I was even fully awake. It was sexual assault and abuse pure and simple. It was also a betrayal as Conaway considered him a friend.

Even though I believe it’s all true, I hope more that Travolta keeps denying it. I find the alternative mental image of a stage-managed, hollow mea culpa/coming out -at this point- even more gruesome. It’d be as welcome as Larry Craig on a Pride float :o

@Andy: Now you’re defending non-consensual sex? Who cares what his reaction might be under some other circumstance? He could love it when it is a BJ from his wife, or he could love it when it is a BJ from any woman or he can love it when it any woman or man in the world except for Travolta. It doesn’t matter what his criteria are. It is his consent to grant or withhold.

JFC, Andy. Get help. You are a sick man. If you actually act on the ideas you advocate here, you are going to end up behind bars.

In this age of instant information, if you’re gonna play with fire, you’re gonna get burned. The only way to keep a secret between two people is if one of them is dead.

Why is his sexuality such a big deal to people??Everyone has a right to thier own privacy and all you drama queens would be screaming if people started doing to you what is happening to him.So what if he is bisexual. There are many many bisexual people out there and if they choose to keep it private, what business is it of anyone??The massuers just want their 5 minutes of fame at John’s expense. You can’t tell me there aren’t alot of you out there that haven’t ever tried to blow your friend or wanted too.Get off your bloody high horses.

Anyone who knows of or has seen Vicki and her antics would be ignorant to believe this. Even Conaway couldn’t stand her…he was sadly a horrible addict, and she was his junkie partner, enabler and deliverer.

For me the tragedy is that Travolta has apparently not been able to create a stable family structure and that may, MAY, have been related to the death of his son. Kids die for lots of reasons, and being the child of a very high profile media star is tough, but I have to think that the weirdness mattered. I wish the entertainment complex in Hollywood gave stars the space to be gay or bi. Scientology may not have been a big help, here either.

My partner and I are raising 3 sons and the five of us are happy as clams.

@mikey: Just, no. If the allegations against him are true, then it is sexual assault. Just because I’m gay doesn’t give me the right to assault someone and claim homophobia in the event that they object to being assaulted.

Just because the paper had a couple legit articles doesn’t mean the rest of them are true. In every situation, citation is needed.

Now when I say citation, I don’t mean waiting until a confirmation of denial or evidence presents itself. I mean a legit backed source that is fully traceable and creditable.

I don’t care if it’s the NY Times, if there’s no source, the story is unfounded.

So no, saying that a newspaper broke a story that proved true later doesn’t cut it. Spreading rumors without fact is a crime. And yea, you shouldn’t believe a word I said without any citation.
