The Big Gay Road Trip: Northern Edition starts bright and early tomorrow (Sunday, May 14) morning! If you live in one of the cities on our itinerary, please send email to frank(@)queerty.com with any suggestions on where to go and what to see. If you’d like to show us around, send us a phone number where you can be reached when we arrive in your hometown.
It was only a short while ago that the intrepid Queerty staff set out to explore the Southern U.S. from Houston to South Florida, and now we’re at it again, except this time we’ll be driving through colder country. Thank goodness it’s almost summer.
On this trip we will be visiting the following cities in the U.S. and Canada:
Chicago, IL
Minneapolis, MN
Winnipeg, MB
Saskatoon, SK
Edmonton, AB
Calgary, AB
Vancouver, BC
George, WA
Seattle, WA
So please get in touch and tell us what exciting gay things we simply have to see in your city. Tell us about your favorite bar, club, restaurant, or gay attraction because we’re coming and we need things to do and people to meet. We’d be happy to have you show us around a bit, too, if you can spare a few hours for the betterment of the gay blogosphere.
Please send emails to frank(@)queerty.com with all your hot tips and invitations. We’re leaving on May 14 and spending a couple days in each city, so please help us fill out our itinerary! xoxo Frank

Come to Detroit June 4th for Motor City Pride (our annual Pridefest)!
It’s the gayest day of the year in America’s least gay city!
Perhaps you’ll meet a nice blue collar gay…

*g* Well, there really isn’t much of anything in George, WA. Except the Martha Inn… aka the brunt of many a local joke about how apparently George liked it in the ass, obviously. *shakes head* My family lives in the area… it’s… rocky. And there’s lots of wheat. Not much else, alas. There used to be a gay bar in Wenatchee… but the wingnuts got to it, alas. There’s some cool artsy stuff in Leavenworth, Wa, though, which is close by and on the way to Seattle.

There isn’t very much in Calgary either. I would recommend going to Twisted Element which is the most popular gay bar. There aren’t very many gay attractions. Um… you could go to this store called Priape which always has really interesting window displays. Pride festivities take place on the 11th of June but I doubt you’ll be here for that. But I guess you’re just passing through on your way to Vancouver right? Vancouver is way nicer than Calgary and way gay-er. So um yeah, have fun.

Well ya gotta tell me what your into for when you get to Seattle…
