Forget violent assaults, having your home covered in swastikas and slurs, or riddled with bullets. This is the face of true discrimination: A white Donald Trump voter denied a free Michaels bag.

A woman was recorded losing her temper at employees and fellow shoppers, whom she claimed were “ganging up on her,” after she was asked if she would like to purchase a larger bag for some of her items for one dollar.

The incident occurred last week at a Chicago store, and the woman accused the African-American employees of discriminating against her.

“Why don’t you shut your face?!” the woman is heard yelling at the start of the video. “And I voted for Trump, so there! What, you want to kick me out because of that? And look who won! And look who won! And look who won!”

The woman soon realizes she is being filmed, and turns on those with cameras out, including the woman whose video is posted below, Jessie Grady.

The woman tells Grady to go home to her husband, whom she says is cheating on her, and accuses her young child of stealing. She pulls out her phone and starts filming Grady and her child, while continuing to argue with the clerk and store manager.

She calls one of the employees an animal, accusing her of yelling across the store at her, which the employee and the manager deny. She is repeatedly asked to calm down and stop using profanity in front of children.

The young woman also claims that one of the employees muttered under their breath that she probably voted for Trump after refusing to give her a free bag, which the employee denied.

“The last person who said out loud they voted for Trump got beat up. So what, you’re all going to beat me up?” she asked Grady.

She was perhaps referring to a man who was attacked by a group of people after a traffic accident. As a local CBS affiliate out of Chicago reports, when the man, David Wilcox, stepped out of his car an onlooker said he was a Trump supporter.

Wilcox asked what that had to do with it, and said he had voted Trump, and then punches were thrown. But he does not believe he was assaulted because of his political views, as those who attacked him said nothing about it.

Grady posted video of the incident at Michaels to Facebook, where it started to go viral. She said it was “the shortened version of a 45 minute ordeal.”

She said that several people called police, including the woman, who can be heard speaking with a dispatcher at the end of the video. She added that by the time they arrived to the story the young woman had already left.

Grady has started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for the employee who received the most abuse from the woman. Grady wrote on the fundraising site:

“I am starting this GoFundMe because I’d like to do something to try to make it up to the employee who was the main target of this racist attack. I’d like to show her that many people are horrified by how this woman treated her, and that we stand with her and appreciate her hard work. She inspired me because despite the hateful words that were being hurled in her direction, she stood in that entranceway calm and unmoving to protect her staff and customers. Her calmness calmed me and I saw a true leader, which in today’s world, is something to be rewarded. All proceeds from this GoFundMe will be given to this employee, who has three children, to try to make her busy holiday season brighter.”

At time of writing, the campaign has raised over $5,000, far surpassing its $400 goal.

Michaels has said they are looking into the incident.
