A recent study found that kids of lesbian parents are basically the chosen people — they’re academically successful and happy with their lives. Well, the proof is in the pudding so say J-E-L-L-O to twin sisters Erin and Elizabeth Czerwinski.
Erin and Elizabeth were named Valedictorian and Salutatorian of Key West High School in Florida this month and on hand to condragulate them were their loving mothers, Caroline Bauer and Sharon Czerwinski. Caroline and Sharon have been together for 25 years and have raised two bright, successful daughters, all without the benefit of having their union recognized by their own state.
The twins described what it’s like having two moms in the Florida Keys’ mag Conch Color. Liz, who will attend Florida State University in the fall, said:
When I’m asked how it has been to be raised by two moms, it’s hard to say anything other than amazing. It has always felt normal to me and sometimes I even forget that it’s something unique. I feel very lucky to have had such supportive and loving parents.
Erin added:
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
It’s definitely different being raised by two moms, but the community of Key West has always been supportive. We have a lot of loving people down here that have made Liz and I feel very comfortable. I wouldn’t want to trade my family experience for anything.

See what happens when kid are raised by same-sex parents! Good on them!

Hey Queerty, aren’t you tired of trying to legitimize homosexuality, as if you have to prove it to yourself just as much to breeders by writing articles of such insignificance? Proof of achievement and success and heteronormativity and materialism and good grades have become tired. Don’t forget about the gay murderers and serial killers who make us just as human!

@olen, I whole heartily agree—seem as if this site is attempting to justify its existence and the relevance of being gay.
