Female military veterans are three times more likely to commit suicide than female nonveterans, according to researchers in Oregon, who found the data “suggest[s] a hidden epidemic of suicide among younger women with military service.” Surely Tony Perkins must think it’s because they were born women, and not because of institutional sexism, that’s to blame.

I wonder if the study included “attempts”.. because some of the answer might be as easy as that women in the military are trained and have access to guns?

MORE SUPPORT NETWORKS!!!!!! Make it socially ok for people to talk. With the mental shift the rates will start to go down for all. People who need to talk, need to talk. People who can “handle it” need to be sure of that fact.
