PHOTOS: The “Red Hot” Ginger Boys Steam Up Their NY Book Release

Screen Shot 2014-09-05 at 12.19.44 PMPhotographer Thomas Knights’ “Red Hot 100″ project became a global sensation the moment he began seeking funds for it on Indiegogo.

Earlier this summer, Knight launched the Indiegogo campaign with intentions to turn his “Red-Hot” series featuring beautiful red-headed men into a photo book. With it, he wanted to “end gingerism,” one beautiful ginger boy at a time.

He said: “This is a book that is not only pleasing on the eye, but also holds a mirror up to current perceptions of male beauty and asks the question, why are there so few ginger heroes or heartthrobs in western culture.”

This week, Knight’s dreams finally became a reality as he joined several models at the Bosi Contemporary art gallery in New York City for the release of the new Red Hot 100 book. The models were, of course, looking as red hot as ever:

It astounds me that in some parts of the world, redheaded men are looked down upon or considered unattractive. Because I cannot write in this (pusedo-)family friendly publication all the filthy, dirty, nasty things I would love to do to the bodies of these sexy ginger men.

The person (man or woman) who looks at Seth Fornea and doesn’t want to have his babies really needs to be examined for signs of life.

Is this an ongoing exhibit? Because I may seriously need to plan a trip to NY.

Redheads sometimes take flack in the community but the handsome “gingers” I know are all uber-confident and know they’re desirable. They stand out in a room and usually have great personalities to boot. Hats off to the exhibit and to these hot guys!

I’m really not too attracted to redheades. Actually hair color doesn’t mean much (although I do prefer darker hair).

Some of these guys are handsome though… others are, ok.

      It’s hit or miss.

Interesting to see so many redheads in one place.

Sorry but redheads are so physically unappealing. Not even one hot one in the whole entire bunch. Says it all.

Finally, someone shows the world that the only people who should suffer discrimination are UNATTRACTIVE people. Thanks a fucking lot for your groundbreaking stance.

I hope every self-righteous asshole involved in this campaign eventually realizes that they’ve done absolutely nothing to make the world a better place. Hot men don’t need advocates to make people accept them, douchebags.
