Crystal Beth is this week’s Dragaholic Drag Queen of the Week! Find out why this young queen had her pageant title taken away and considers herself to be the Alyssa Edwards of Oklahoma.
Hello world my name is Crystal Beth, I’m 18 years old, and I am currently Miss OYP in Tulsa Oklahoma.
I started drag at the Wreckroom in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the second time I went there because it was the only underage gay/drag club in my city. Seeing all the queens and kings performing on stage with freedom and so much expression was an eye opener for me!
With my 4 years of ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and tap, I used those abilities to compete in the Miss Wreckroom pageant shortly after. Although I lost that year, I competed again next year and won the title! A few month after my victory I started to have some complications with the host of the show. She wanted to strip my power down to nothing, but I fought for the rights that were given to me with my crown. After about 5 months of back and forth, my title was taken from me. I was heart broken, and damaged, but everything happens for a reason.

I took a break from drag to focus on myself for awhile. When I came back, I captured the title of Miss OYP ( Open Arms Youth Project) in Tulsa Oklahoma. OYP is a youth center for the LGBTQ community and allies.
My journey is far from over and I have to thank my drag mother Jexa VanDeKamp. Without her, my life would be completely different. I see myself as the Alyssa Edwards of Oklahoma, and I plan to make more memorable moments in and out of drag!

She left out the part where when she was Miss WreckRoom she told two other performers they were below her. She also left out that she would consistently go behind the show director’s back to try to get her way. The bullying that some of the Wreckroom performers endured under her “reign” was astonishing. This “article” is depressing. It is damaging to a beloved club here in Oklahoma, and I can not believe anyone would allow it to be posted.

I love how she even left out the part where she said in front of the whole club that the performers where beneath her. Also the part where she was read to filth on her ballet. Not one good thing was said about it. Also how she was told she was not allowed to attend OKC Pride, but begged the people running it to let her in. She was horrible and vindictive. The Wreck Room was practically a wasteland when she had her crown. Now she is gone and people are showing back up. This article is a disgusting thing to read. She is really good at bending the truth.

She swooped In talent, and interview. She had so much heart for that place, but jakkay wanted nothing to do with her. Every idea was shot down, and when she would respond her words would be twisted into slanderous actions! People made it he’ll for that little girl. Maybe as the gay community, we should rise others up, not be putting them down. You can’t fight for equality when your being vindictive To another!

Alright then tell her to apologize to every single person she put down. She was horrible to so many people at the Wreck Room. She should respect the fact she got a start somewhere. She put so many people down and yet everybody has her back? That seems hypocritical. Jakkay wouldn’t of had an issue if Crystal wouldn’t of come in all cocky and bitchy. She was also disowned by her drag mother. Also the way her and her boyfriend talk is not very uplifting. If you want to be blind that’s fine, but sweetie know the facts before you say we are being vindictive.

Jexa is still her mother, and crystal was defending herself. Jakkay turned everyone on that poor girl! How can you say know facts when your not even close to them. She was trying to protect the crown, but jakkay wanted to make her idols more then they should be. Miss wreckroom is the title of that club. Idol is just something to make money. There’s a big diffrence, and jakkay obviously Does not know what talent is, when crystal should had won idol when she competed in season one, and I only say this because she turned around an won miss wreckroom! I think it goes to show jakkay does not go based on what the contestants brought to the stage, more so what they were doing behind the dumpsters.
