It doesn’t affect me and shouldn’t affect anyone else.” I don’t think it was Mr. Bieber’s intent to say sexuality is something all of us can choose, even though he used the word “decision,” but rather to send the message that being gay isn’t something that impacts anyone else, so there’s no reason to make a big fuss or discriminate against someone for it. That said: WHERE ARE YOUR HANDLERS AT A TIME LIKE THIS? We don’t need the U.S. Rolling Stone to start looking like Uganda’s, ya hear?

I remember when Kelly Rowland was starting out in Destiny’s Child at age 16 or 17, she was all about “not compromising (her) Christianity” and thanking Jesus. I’m 16, and I can tell you right now, half of the people I know my age could have given answers 10x better than those, without media training. That answer is beyond offensive. Nobody chooses to be gay, and if I could choose to be straight, to be frank, I wouldn’t, because as a very stupid teen brat once said “everything happens for a reason”. And our health care isn’t that good, by the way, you can wait up to a year for a life saving lab, and literally 24 hours to be seen in the ER. Drugs aren’t covered, either. He needs to disappear, as his ignorance is not at ALL a good example for children. And everyone I know who knew him personally is a Jesus freak, so I’m not totally shocked…

His intent was clear, even if he failed to convey it in the proper manner. It would be like giving someone zero points after deriving an equation, solving the problem, but making a simple math error along the way. Sometimes I wonder if some of the people on this site are still in elementary school. For those crying about how he answers questions, try being on a set with a thousand people watching in person, possibly millions on t.v., and answering questions that are generally intrusive or flat out stupid. At the same time the pressure is on to connect with his young base and not say something that might hit him and his bosses in the pocket. Go to most college campuses and people squirm if they have to give a prepared speech in front of a lecture hall, go to most companies and see how many people would be scrambling to do a personal, or any type of question and answer session on live t.v. The guy is seventeen and does pretty well in school, I am sure that his religious convictions are his own.
