“The wedding finger,” that is.
In response to the Alabama Supreme Court placing a halt on same-sex marriage (and in the process proving once again that they don’t understand the jurisdiction of federal law), the couple posted this message to Facebook:

Alabama disgusts me. If I was the US Supreme Court I would hold the Alabama kangaroo court in contempt. They are violating the US constitution and supremacy clause with their defiance. If I was a probate judge in Alabama I would ignore the kangaroo court and oblige by the federal court ruling.
If this defiance continues, time to send in some federal agents to enforce the federal ruling.

You actually want me to click on an FB link? No thanks. Please don’t ever do that again.

Alabama – that outpost of civilisation.

Giving the finger is a way to win friends and influence people?

As an Alabamian, 30 years removed, I still feel the need to apologize for the continuation of the bigotry and hatred that is ingrained in our history. They shield themselves in either State’s Rights or Religious Freedom, whichever is convenient. They will be brought, reluctantly, out of the 18th/19th century. Even 50 years after the Selma March, they still embrace their racism. And 50 years from now, they will probably still be hating.

@BJ McFrisky: And you need to use your little brain to realize it’s justified. But are you going to defend Alabama and every other dirt bag Republican criminal as you always do?

@BJ McFrisky: George and Brad Takei don’t need ANYONE! HOWEVER, EVERYBODY FOLLOWS THEM BECAUSE THEY STAND FOR JUSTICE AND EQUALITY. You might want to try that sometime!
