Texas ex-Republican Robert Morrow recently took out an ad asking male strippers, escorts, and “young hotties” if they have ever had sex with Rick Perry. He recently went on Austin’s public access gay radio show “Outcast” to discuss his campaign. Sadly, most of his information is hearsay from escorts, strippers, closeted gay men, and “the ex of an ex” which all make pretty doubtful sources. But if he can get a few of them to go on record and describe Perry’s junk in similar details, he’ll have a lucrative media circuit ahead of him if not a book deal. Until then, this is just a smear campaign, and a quickly deteriorating one at that.
RUMORS
Politically Incorrect Thug
Another attempt by the ever-desperate Left to villify someone they perceive to be a threat. Yaaaaaawwwwwwn.
David Ehrenstein
@Politically Incorrect Thug: Ask Rick Perry what a “Ponzi Scheme” is. I’ll bet he can’t answer.
Travis Maguire
Yes.

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. There are a lot of rumors about Rick Perry’s alleged bisexuality. Boyfriends everywhere, apparently.
Tony
Wonder is he’s be hanging out with South Carolina’s Lindsey Graham?
ewe
There is something terribly dangerous about gay people conducting a witch hunt on homosexual sex. Disturbing.
ewe
@Politically Incorrect Thug: all corporate puppets are against you as well. Grow up. I doubt you are golging in Palm Beach.
christopher di spirito
Rick Perry definitely has skeletons in her closet.
The larger issue for Perry is his racist views about America. I am not one to use the “ists” and “isms” very often but this clown genuinely has an issue about minorities in general and African Americans specifically.
Politically Incorrect Thug
@ewe: Corporate puppets are against me?? ALL of them?!? Yikes. Good thing we have you to keep us safe from the evildoings of said puppets. And no, I haven’t been golging for years (come to think of it, I don’t even know what golging is).
Sam Wheat
Wasn’t Rob Morrow an actor on “Northern Exposure”?
Dallas David
Seems pretty thin evidence on which to start a witch hunt . . .
Anyone could manufacture evidence if the incentive was sufficient. This isn’t one of the gay community’s prouder moments . . .
Cam
Wow, I wrote a post detailing the insults that the right wing have hurled at democratic politicians in reponse to Politically incorrect Thug’s comment about the left attacking Perry. It was screened out. What is going on?
LukeM
I don’t understand this penis describing standard that people who want to out gay Republicans have come up with! You can get 3 or four people to give the same description of a dick pretty easily. And what is someone supposed to do go on TV and say “Ha, my dick is cut and bends to the left. You were totally wrong”? That’s idiotic.
LukeM
@Dallas David. The Committee Against Sexual Hypocrisy is just that one guy. This isn’t moment for the LGBT community at all.
Greenluv1322
It’s not the gays you morons. This guy I’d a supporter of Ron Paul. Do a little research before you post. Why were you so guys so sure it wad the gays? When has that happened?
Greenluv1322
* is* not *I’d* damn iPhone.
Bill Detty
Morrow is a regular commenter on Paul Burka’s blog on Texas politics on the Texas Monthly site. Read this post, and especially the comments, for more info: Morrow himself weighs in at some length, and you can judge his credibility for yourself.

Eek, I didn’t put the link to the post into my previous comment: http://www.texasmonthly.com/blogs/burkablog/?p=11210

I don’t think it’s a witch-hunt as much as it is an accountability test. Besides, the real witch-hunt is coming from right-wing Republicans who pander to the notion that gays are sub-human and not deserving of basic rights.
Now, back to Rick Perry’s boyfriends….
Jim Hlavac
Oh, Rick Perry says all sorts of “rumor” about us — you know, “attacking families” “destroying the nation” “wrecking marriage” and “ending civilization” not to mention he is thoughtful about trying to bring back the “sissy smooching” laws, to stop us in our tracks (ahem.) And he’s talking to people who want to bring a Constitutional Amendment against us, and bring the full police power of the state down on our heads and perhaps close the bars, too. Oh, I’d say on the “rumor” side, Perry is in up to his eyeballs, so much so, they are brown no doubt. Rumor away people; let him deal with the gay thing every friggin’ day of his life — until he cries “uncle” and let us gays get married and stop this strange debate — where they can say what we want and we fret over whether we should offend or be fair.
This “let’s play nice with politicians” is nonsense. They do not play nice with us. Treat them as they want to be treated — and tell them so: “well trade no more rumors about your life, if you cease dealing with rumors about ours.” It’s politics, all’s fair, and he’s out to get us. Screw ‘im.
slanty
I think it’s hilarious. Let’s hope he gets some reliable information fast.
ewe
@Politically Incorrect Thug: of course you have to pick a mistyped letter to make yourself feel better than others. As i said grow up and yes you do need to be informed daily of the evildoing puppets spinning on an axis of green and yellow terror. You sound like georgie bush when you get defensive.
NYCBred
Gays conducting a witch hunt. Some might disagree, but that’s how I see it.
ewe
@NYCBred: thank you. That is exactly what it is and it is self defeating. If gay people want equality then go after heterosexuals for being straight. No they demonize homosexuality instead. DAMAGED queens and i am sick to death of them. They support the Bummer at all costs who is shitting on all of us. BTW does anyone know if the bummer has evolved yet?
Bick Biffster
Can tell my the way he mouths that corn dog Rick Perry is all man. Nuff said.
declanto
I grudgingly agree with @ewe:
Queer Supremacist
@ewe: Finally, someone said it. These “straight” “people” want to destroy us, and our way to ruin them is to spread rumors they’re really one of us? That reinforces the false message that homosexuality is shameful and disgusting, the very thing we have fought for decades.
Homosexuality is not only not shameful and disgusting, but it is the exact opposite. Look at the tear-stained faces of gay men who stood beside their dying husbands until the very end. Look at the gay and lesbian couples who spent decades building lives together as husband and husband or wife and wife in the face of millennia of brutal social oppression and ostracism by our inferiors. Look at those who fought so valiantly just to stop oppression by our government so that future generations of gay boys and girls would grow up with a sense of self-respect and a healthy self-image as gays. And look at those who risked ostracism from within our own community to do what they had to do to fight for our rights.
It’s not the mid-1960s anymore. It is the 21st century. We have an openly gay man running, as a Republican no less, on a platform of absolute equality for gays. We have so many gay people on TV that even I’m bored with them; the reasons why is another issue that’s irrelevant. Businesses pander to us the way they pander to any other minority group. Trying to ruin a homophobe’s reputation by accusing them of homosexuality plays into their hands; it shows a self-loathing attitude towards something that should be a source of joy, pride, love and happiness. We are defined by who we love, they are defined by who they hate. We have played the games of morality whose rules they constructed and beat them at it. The worst homosexual has more moral rectitude than the most virtuous heterosexual. These bigoted scum are not worthy to be counted among us.
No, ewe, the Bummer has not evolved yet. But we have. At least some of us have. Let us act like it.
