Sorry fellas, John Barrowman is off the market, having tied the knot with his longtime boyfriend Scott Gill.
“We are now legally married. Thanks for all your great wishes,” the veteran actor posted on his Facebook page earlier today, breaking hearts everywhere.
Barrowman, best-known for his roles on the television hits Dr. Who and Torchwood, had already begun sharing his happiness in front of the camera,
“Thank you Supreme Court, about time you made it legal,” he exclaimed in the selfie video he recorded with his soon-to-be hubby just before their big event.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
The two share a kiss right after and Barrowman makes a funny face before shutting off the camera. Obviously unable to contain their joy, the couple then shared another video in which they excitedly sing along to Air Supply’s “I’m All Out Love.”
Congratulations, newlyweds!

I don’t know who this is.
Lexi
So happy for them. Love John.

@tookietookie: I was wondering that myself… Who are these guys?
Christopher22
Wondering? You read the third paragraph?
There’s also a search engine on the internet called Google.
middleagespread
@Christopher22: +1000000 even a tech challenged middle aged guy like me knows how to use Google.
EdWoody
Off the market? Please, he’ll still whore around like he always has. And that’s fine if that’s the arrangement they have.

@yaoming: John Barrowman is best known as playing Captain Jack Harkness, a pan-sexual time traveler from the 51st century who becomes immortal. He is from the world of Dr. Who. He had his own spin off show called Torchwood, which was about a British agency that combats alien threats.
David
He’s 46 now – that means they’ve been together since their mid-20s.
BTW: John Barrowman is a huge star in the science fiction TV world. He is currently co-starring in the CW series Arrow as a main villain. He also played an iconic openly bisexual character of Capt. Jack Harkness (the first openly LGBT action hero in SF/F TV) in both Doctor Who and Torchwood – which plays in the U.S. on BBC America and/or Starz.
Zena
Fellas, are you just noticing he’s off the market *now*? :-)))) They both have been off the market since about 1991. It’s only become legal now. Long long overdue 🙂
Zena
@EdWoody, that’s not the arrangement they have and he does not whore around.

The pic is copyrighted? LOL

Big congrats to Capt… I mean JOhn.

@yaoming: In addition to the major TV appearances they have listed in the article (both in the UK and US markets), John Barrowman has appeared in a number of musicals here (Sunset Boulevard, Putting It Together) and in the West End (Anything Goes, Beauty and the Beast, Miss Saigon and more) and had major roles on Desperate Housewives and Arrow, this past season on the CW. Hope that helps.
Mr. E. Jones
Any wedding night video available?
Cam
Congrats to the couple. 20 years!

@Mr. E. Jones: That’s funny. John is so dreamy and so is his hubby. @startenout: I know right, he was awesome in Arrow. I don’t know if my concentration would have been on my character being around those other hot men. Colton Haynes is so hot he makes my teeth sweat. Ihave to break out the smellin salts every time I watch that show.
hotshot70
aw. Congrats to the 2 of them. I wonder how many times they play “The Doctor & Captain Jack”? lol
Mickie_Newton
@tookietookie: Wow! So you haven’t seen Doctor Who? Or Torchwood? Or even Arrow?
Mickie_Newton
@EdWoody: WHAT?! They have been committed to one another 20 years! I think you may be getting him confused with someone else like Captain Jack Harkness!!
Mickie_Newton
@Zena: Very well said Zena 🙂
Mickie_Newton
This is just brilliant news. For those who don’t know, they kind of married in 2006 when we got Civil Partnerships in the UK. We’re just now waiting on the House of Lords to make gay marriage legal now!!
They actually got together back in 1993 and so have been together for 20 years. Scott is also an architect.
erasure25 and David have already said about Torchwood etc, though I must correct erasure25 on his sexuality. They termed him as omnisexual, but really it meant he was bisexual, not pan sexual.

@jeff4justice: That’s because it was posted on Whosay. It’s automatically done by the website 🙂
andy0529
Was the dude he married in the 5th grade when they met, Barrowman is 44-48ish, that dude is 35 at the most.

@andy0529: John Barrowman is 46 this year and his amazingly youthful husband Scott is… I forget. But I think he’s actually older though he doesn’t look it. Anyway, congrats to both!
I will always love John as the sexy, witty Captain Jack Harkness! (I will always hate Russell T. Davies for what he did to Torchwood!)
