Keiynan Lonsdale lands in the pages of ‘Vogue’…in drag

Actor Keiynan Lonsdale just fulfilled his longtime ambition to appear in Vogue magazine, while breaking gender norms no less.

The Australian born, 27-year-old star, known for roles in The Finest Hours and Love, Simon as well as for his own hip-hop career will take part in a special new exhibit at the MET in New York City. Entitled “Camp: Notes on Fashion,” the new show is the brainchild of British curator Andrew Bolton.

“Called my mum up and said ‘I’MA BE IN VOGUE!!!’ Life man. Thank you with all my heart,” Lonsdale tweeted, along with some images from the shoot. He also posted additional photos–including one with fellow out-queer actor Ezra Miller–to his Instagram.

All the photos thus far show Lonsdale in dresses from various periods including the Victorian era and the Jazz age.

Coming off the success of Love, Simon, where Lonsdale and co-star Nick Robinson won the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss, Lonsdale and Robinson will reteam for out-gay director Justin Kelly in the film Weetzie Bat.
