Reporter Jason Bellini of the Wall Street Journal recently braved a Trump rally in Cincinnati, where he ran into perhaps the only gay couple in the entire state of Ohio, possibly the nation, voting for the gay-hating, pussy-grabbing Republican.
“I’m pretty excited,” one of the men told Bellini.

Clinton has no debt. and Trump owes around $600 million to foreign investors. So if owing other people money means they’re corrupt, then Trump, by your own definition of the one corrupted.
Additionally about this gay couple. Lets see, He is a steel worker, Trump just used Chinese Steel in his project in Dc.
Additionally, many of these Trump supporters whose jobs don’t pay like they used to are in industries that unions used to support. So the GOP has spend two decades attacking unions, attacking wages and taking away worker protections. Gee, what a shock, those same steel workers that used to be in the middle class aren’t making what they used to.
And lastly, again, lets restate. U.S. banks have refused to loan Trump money for quite a while. So his debt is funded by foreign financiers, many Russian and Chinese. So he owes huge sums of money to U.S. competitors, and as has already been shown, supports them.

Guys like these two and Peter Thiel supporting Trump don’t surprise to me. These guys and other gay white men like them aren’t looking for equality for all gay men. What they want is to be elevated to the status of straight white men, and everyone else be damned. They want privilege, not parity, and they see their sexuality as the only small detail standing in the way of joining of the boys club. It makes it easier for them to overlook Tump’s, r%cism, sexism, and Islamiphobia. For all we know, they might even harder some of those biases themselves and see it as something they share in common.

Having once lived in the southeast it doesn’t surprise me at all that you would see two gay guys like this,supporting Trump. I remember going to gay bars and being appalled at how often I’d hear the N-bomb dropped, etc. I knew many gay couples who never spent Christmas together because they’d go to their respective redneck families alone. When parents would come to visit the other member of the couple would move all his stuff out. I have had countless conversations with gay people who believe being gay is a sin. Who were devout members of anti-gay church’s, etc. Not every one of us makes it through this gay journey we are on intact. When you think about the level of hatred, rejection. Shame, abuse that we go through it’s a miracle that as many make it out as well adjusted as do.

That is something specific that Hillary Clinton did. And as far as “lip service” is concerned, do you really think that she is comparable to, say, Mike Pence, who presided over the adoption of one of them there “religious freedom” laws to allow bigots to be bigots? I would guess between 60-65% of LGBT will be supporting her then but there will more not supporting her or Democrats by then solely because of imminent Orlando style massacres or Chelsea style bombings. Based on past experiences and voting patterns, the public seems to regret their vote for the incumbent during their second term (i.e. George W. Bush) and I suspect this will happen for a good many LGBT by 2022. 50-55% of LGBT will be supporting a Democrat by 2024. There will be Clinton vote remorse amongst LGBT and immense guilt – for those that aren’t sociopaths.

I’m a 61 year old factory worker, I’m white and I’ve been a member of the United Steelworkers union since 1974. There is no way that any reasonably intelligent LGBT person or working person could vote for Trump. He has never done anything for Gays or working people, neither have the Republicans. If I were rich I’d vote Pubbie, I’m not so I vote Democratic. The Dems have my back as a Gay man and as a working man and the Republicans don’t. It’s that simple. H.Clinton is not perfect. Far from it.
Neither candidate is a prize.
But to minimize the damage that Trump has had on people’s lives is short sighted. How many times has he declared bankruptcy at the expense of regular American citizens? Four, actually. Four companies that he pursued bankruptcy for, so that he can say that HE has never been in bankruptcy. Four companies that he borrowed more money than was sane…no learning curve.
My fear is that he continues to have no learning curve, and bankrupts the biggest company of all–the country.
Though there is no transparency or possibility to tell us, I find it hard to believe that his selfishness to remain in the profit column has had no harmful effect on his American debtors and their families. I don’t think every family that was associated with those four companies ended up in the profit column as he did.
And somehow, these regular joes in the middle of the country continue to root for the man who decimated lives–repeatedly.
