Minister Looks At Picture Of Happy Couple With Baby And Sees “Lust”

You think people would know better than to listen to a right-wing minister who goes by the nickname “Dr. Chaps,” but Gordon Klingenschmitt has a following. After all, Klingenschmitt is the guy who claims that marriage equality will cause inflation. But even by Klingenschmitt’s standards, his latest rant is amazingly offensive. Looking at a  photo of a male couple from the UK happily holding their baby, Klingenschmitt all but labeled the couple pedophiles based on the smiles on their faces.

“One of the men almost has his tongue hanging out, like he’s licking his chops, like this baby is ours now,” Klingenschmitt said. “And that’s fine, you may call that love, but it looks to me a little bit like lust.”

Needless to say, this was an opportunity for Klingenschmitt to trot out the recruitment canard. Gay couples “crave” to adopt “the children of heterosexual couples” for–well, you know.

The name of the program where Klingenschmitt made his comments is Pray in Jesus’ Name.” We can start by praying for deliverance from Klingenschmitt..
