Sarah Paulson will play a lesbian who loses her mind after Trump’s election. Typecasting?

Yet another trailer for American Horror Story 7: Cult was rolled out today, and this one reveals Sarah Paulson will be playing the role of Ally, a lesbian who’s losing her goddamn mind in the wake of Donald Trump‘s election.

When she screams, she screams for all of us. Well, most of us.

After the election, the situation gets even creepier — the story checks out — as Paulson starts seeing leering clowns clomping malevolently around her neighborhood, occasionally following her to the grocery story to tease and tantalize her with their horrific ways.

Meanwhile, Alison Pill stars as Paulson’s partner, and Cheyenne Jackson plays her therapist, who patronizes her in honied dulcet tones.

“Since election night, it has all been getting so much worse,” Paulson tells Jackson.

Again, the story checks out.

Ryan Murphy hinted that the new season would have something to do with the 2016 election, but never suggested Trump would be galloping onto the set like this was Late Night with Jimmy Fallon:

“The themes of American Horror Story have always been allegories. You will not see Trump and [Hillary] Clinton as characters on the show.”

Unfortunately, nothing in the trailer is even half as creepy as Trump’s Twitter feed, but here you go.
