A jury has found Sean Cody star Teofil Brank (a.k.a. Jarec Wentworth) guilty of extorting gay Republican millionaire Donald Burns.
As we reported yesterday, 51-year-old Burns admitted under oath this week to paying Brank for sex “at least four times” and giving him $1500 to $2500 “referral fees” anytime the 25-year-old adult film star introduced him to new male paramours.

After the relationship soured, however, Brank threatened to publish explicit photos of Burns if the millionaire didn’t fork over $1.5 million, a $180,000 Audi8 sports car, a motorcycle, and buy him a lavish condo in L.A.
He was arrested in an FBI sting operation on March 4.
During the trial, Justin Griggs, a friend of Brank’s, also testified that he and the $250 million businessman engaged in, ahem, intimate behavior that included “hanging out, surfing, grilling out, going to dinner, and then we would have sex, group sex.” (Griggs also testified that he had a similar relationship with David Geffen.)
Brank faces up to 53 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for September.

He won’t serve 53 years, but if he did just think when he gets out he will be older than the guy he blackmailed. And when he gets out he won’t have any professional skills learned in prison that will allow him to get a decent job.

Yeah, 9 years is both what The Sword and Str8UpGayPorn are saying too, and they were quicker with the story. With good behavior, Wentworth might get out with 2/3 of that. I also think he should be in medium or minimum security; certainly not with the worst of the worse. This was bad, but it wasn’t a violent crime.

@lauraspencer: There’s an old adage — Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. If he weren’t so greedy and impatient, he might have been provided all those toys in due time. I’m an old man now, but I remember the heedless bravery we’re all made of at Jarec’s age. It’s a very short window of time in any man’s life, the one decade when we all deserve to live fearlessly, even occasionally recklessly, before life moves into the slow march toward death of creeping common sense. Most of us, when the time comes, surrender that era of presumed invincibility unscathed, but for some like Jarec, the circumstances we foster and think we can dominate, turn around and engulf us. I hope this handsome young man returns to society undestroyed, and with the necessary strength and wisdom to move forward. 🙁

And to top that off… whatever monies he has left, they are going to make sure his legal fees eat up whatever savings he does have.. so I hopefully he doesn’t have to serve TOO long and this be a lesson. it’s not like he killed someone. and All acts were consensual with another adult. He just got beside himself which probably would have worked had D.B. been a married closeted man with children.
