The West Virginia Town Cop Accused Of Bribing A Teen For Sex

A round of applause for Christopher Scott Winkler, a 24-year-old now-former police officer in Princeton, West Virginia, who tried paying a 17-year-old boy for oral sex … while wearing his uniform. The failed transaction, which took place March 1 at nearly 11pm in a grocery store parking lot, also veered into blackmail territory, the Bluefield Daily Telegraph reports, with the complaint against the ex-officer claiming “Winkler agreed to reduce a claimed monetary debt owed by the juvenile male if he performed the act on Winkler. The criminal complaint alleged further that Winkler threatened to file criminal charges against the juvenile if he refused and ‘ruin the rest of his life.’ In addition to the alleged bribe and threat, the criminal complaint alleged that Winkler, who was in uniform at the time of the alleged incident, told the juvenile that if he cooperated, he (Winkler) would not contact Child Protective Services involving a separate matter concerning the juvenile’s mother.” Winkler was suspended when the allegations were made; he’s since resigned from his post.

    This man had to have the IQ of a chipmunk to attempt something like this while in uniform. Oh, I forgot, he’s from West Virginia. It figures.

    @Harbo

    U mean a chipmunk out collecting nuts? Was that on purpose or just your everyday Freudian slip? Either way it was pretty good. ;)

    GREAT news story.
    An entire minute of a man with clasped hands reading a police report with absolutely no trace of video or sound.
    Awesome.
    West Virginia television at its finest.

    I hope that ..”A round of applause..” you started the story with was meant to be sarcastic.
    There is nothing admirable about a person of authority abusing his power to blackmail and harass a teenager, no matter how it plays into someones personal fantasies.
