We’re so annoyed that gay porn stars have traditionally been restricted to announcing major engagements and career choices on Twitter and YouTube, but thanks to the execs at Bravo, you can now watch gay porn stars get engaged on primetime television. Awesome!
On last night’s episode of Below Deck, the nautical reality show that follows former gay porn model David Bradberry throughout his daily duties as a seaman, the former military man was awoken via Skype for a special birthday surprise from his boyfriend, porn star Trevor Knight.
Bradberry’s birthday conveniently coincides with the couple’s two-year anniversary, so Knight made a special birthday cake and blew some party horns right before popping the question:
“Its been two years of hard days and good days, sad days and happy days, I don’t want to be away from you for one more day, ever, and I wanted to know if you would be my man?”
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Bradberry responds with “You’re insane, of course.” Not the reaction we were hoping for, but at least he said yes!
Are Skype calls the new flash mob?

How is either of those two being former gay porn actors relevant to the story? Isn’t it gay-interest enough, simply because both men are…um…gay?
Shaking my goddamn head.

So ex gay porn stars become ex gay porn models?
tardis
It’s classier. Makes the public feel comfortable.
Polaro
Unfortunately, people being what they are, tawdry stuff like being an ex-porn star will always follow a person in the spotlight. It makes the story more interesting, unfortunately. The good news is that the stigma isn’t what it used to be either. If it was, this kid would not be on a TV show at all. I almost thing being an ex-porn star is less irritating than being a reality TV star. I’m now rambling. I’m lonely. LOL.

Another turd from Andy Cohen!

@Polaro: “being an ex-porn star will always follow a person in the spotlight”
Only as long as people act like it’s somehow worth mentioning every time you reference the person in question.

@fredo777: It is worth mentioning. Even now, porn star is not a job most people have had, so it’s newsworthy. Note to Polaro: Cheer up.

@Windhover: “so it’s newsworthy”
It’s really not, + yet the site seems to constantly bring it up.
