One of the most attention-getting commercials during the Super Bowl was Dodge’s “So God made a farmer” spot, which included a voice over from legendary radio personality Paul Harvey praising the hard work and dedication of farmers.
Now Crew magazine has appropriated the concept for a new video in a similar vein (above), one that praises the Man Upstairs for creating gay men. “The Dodge Ram Super Bowl ad taught us that a great meme is a terrible thing to waste,” say the clip’s producers.
Below, the original Dodge ad.

I watched the original first. I actually found it moving.
Then I watched the gay version… and found the original lacking.
Powerful stuff there.
Garth
As a gay farmer I find both of them moving and truthful . Fourty years I have farmed
and have experienced everything the farmer ad talks about . I have been gay all my
life and believe God put me here for a reason. Great job on both adds.

Over 70% of farmers these days are Latino so I thought Cuentame did the best version; it was just so powerful. If you haven’t seen it, check it:
