My feeling about James, in particular, is that he’s someone who is really interested in generating a dialogue. So I feel like putting it out there, and putting it out there in different ways, is something that’s interesting and something that I don’t think people should shy away from.”
— Zachary Quinto discussing his Michael costar James Franco and his penchant for making movies about gay cultural figures in an interview with HuffPo

How come when I first navigate to this page many comments from people are missing. It is only after fully signing in that they appear from certain people.
Is Queerty screening out comments from certain people so that they can only be seen by people who are signed in and not by people who aren’t members?

Totally misleading title. Quinto isn’t defending James Franco’s attention-seeking antics, but rather just his choice in roles.

That quote sounds like English but is completely content-free. He should run for political office.

@vive: haha, i thought the same thing.

@vive: Exactly. That was the emptiest filler I’ve read today so far. But that’s the nature of the game; he’s saying as little as possible in order to escape any possibility that James Franco does something stupid, and then he’ll have this little tidbit tied to him.

Double Yawn!

I just saw Interior Leather Bar and it was a pretentious mess. I guess the guy who directed it can’t make a movie featuring gay content unless there’s hardcore sex involved and if any of the gay “actors” in that film were hoping to have a mainstream career Franco and his buddy just blew that dream away.
