Losing California Would Open Gay Flood, Says Right Wing Leader
Social conservatives are sweating balls right about now.
As you know, anti-gay activists are pushing California’s Proposition 8, which would revere the state Supreme Court’s legalization of gay marriage. While it’s too early to say what will go down this November, American Family Association founder and stalwart wing nut Don Wildmon doesn’t sound too optimistic:
If we lose California, if they defeat the marriage amendment, I’m afraid that the culture war is over and Christians have lost,” the Evangelical leader told columnist Bill Berkowitz.“I’ve never said that publicly until now,” Wildmon added, “but that’s just the reality of the fact.”

“California is a big dam, holding back the flood” in the “culture wars,” Wildmon asserted, “and if you take down the dam in California, it’s going to flood 49 other states.”
What a wonderful world it would be…
So, I have to wait until Novemeber to get of rid of these nutbags. AND The COUNTDOWN BEGINS!!!

Mr. Wildmon shouldn’t be so upset. After all, his “side” lost the battle of civil rights, racial equality, women’s rights, voting rights, school prayer, etc etc ad infinitum. They should be used to it by now. You’d think they’d get a clue, after having their dearest beliefs rejected time and again.
It’s nice of him to offer capitulation so easily. Let’s not miss this opportunity (as if losing on Prop 8 would really ever shut these people up).

They want to preach they can stop same sex marrige…that boat sailed. Even if they clamped down CA, the current marriages won’t be made illegal, they will be grandfathered into any future legislation. The out state marriages will eventually test their State Courts.
Don’t be fooled by this bigots perceived pessimistic words he might actually end up being helped by the voters of his conservative party opposition come November.
To echo Abradacaver – yes, they “lost” racial issues, prayer in school and other issues. What did they lose? They can still pray in school if they want to, their women can still be barefoot and pregnant etc. if that is what they want.
It is not as if “losing” means one side gets something and the other forfeits.
This should be clear as well by now….. :)

No.s 12 + 13- since they are not allowed to look natural, sexy, or godlike, they opt for looking “nice”. When they get to heaven, they’re supposed to get a “glorified” body, although judging from the films I’ve seen, this is covered up with a white caftan, and the women get bigger hair and another row of false eyelashes.
Here’s a better idea: Let’s snatch David Hauslaib out of his apartment (Brooklyn, Queens, Carroll Gardens..?) and squeeze a pink triangle gay pride T-shirt on him, then shove him into the middle of the reggae Straight Pride march on Aug. 31. Let him see how the Duke lacrosse boys felt when they were attacked by a barbaric mob. THAT would be karmic justice.

Don’t all those screwballs believe that the world is going to hell in a handbag anyway? You know all that tribulation, anti-Christ, armageddon bullshit? So why do they fight what they believe is inevitable? They have all been waiting for the J-mans return for centuries so they should see all this as something to help bring move that along.
