Looking to celebrate “ordinary” bodies?
Meatzine‘s 2018 calendar features 12 images of naked men — all different shapes, sizes, and ages.
None of the images will be retouched.
The project aims to end body-shaming in the gay community.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

Launched in 2010, the U.K.-based mag touts itself as a “smoking hot celebration” of “real guys”.
Founder/editor Adrian Lourie tells HuffPo he wanted to create “something a bit different.”
Muscular models do “nothing for my self-esteem or my body image,” he says.
That’s why he wanted to showcase “an alternative view” that went against the “prevailing image of gay men as young, with perfect, porn-ready bodies.”

What it looks like we are celebrating here is twinks who don’t shave their body hair.

Did you bother to look at the other guys?

You’re a perfect representative of why they came up with this idea. #’s 3 and 4 are especially hot. #1 seem to make a cute couple. It really is a sad commentary on the gay population (male) what with all the not even fat shaming, if you’re not real porn material that somehow makes you undesirable. There’s this thing called a mind. People who use it are generally very sexy. Because they use their intelligence as opposed to looking at themselves naked in their full length mirror admiring themselves. Someone’s got to.

Is the article an attempt to all-Lgbtq loving? when queerty select its Instagram photos, they go for plastic guys. Blahhh

Good on them for producing a calendar but why do these people always feel the need to shame people who work out? If seeing somebody who does to the gym damages your self esteem you need to see a therapist.
pudman56
Boy, did you miss the point. It’s your gym bunnies who don’t have the time of day for the millions of the ordinary, everyday nice looking people with compassion, empathy, etc. That is what makes you hot.
dinard38
Like Pudman56 said, you completely missed the point. No one is shaming men who work out. It’s typically the opposite. Men who work out shame men who don’t….well, in the gay community. If you don’t have a body like Adonis, you’re less desirable. Meatzine is trying to celebrate beauty in all shapes and sizes.

Thanks for proving my point pudman because going to the gym automatically makes you a nasty person.

Wha Wha Wha… Ya that’s gonna go over big with the clones. LOL.

The last photo is an ordinary body? You can see the ab muscles behind the pillow.

if I wanted to see an ordinary body, I’d look in the mirror.

Exactly. Why would you want to buy a calendar featuring ordinary men?
