Hey, remember when 1.8 million supporters turned out for President Obama’s inaugural festivities in 2009, setting a record attendance for any event held in Washington, D.C.? Yeah, well, that’s definitely not happening this week when Donald Trump is sworn in as the 45th President of the United States of America.

RSVPs to the inaugural concert are pretty dismal, so to try and drum up attendance, Donald released a video over the weekend inviting everyone–anyone, really–to his “Make American Great Again Celebration,” which he promises will be “incredible” and “really fantastic.”
“I’ll see you on January 19th, very importantly, at the Lincoln Memorial at four o’clock,” Trump says with forced enthusiasm.
How about we take this to the next level?

The video was shared on Mike Pence‘s Facebook page over the weekend, where it has so far garnered over 12,000 comments, the majority of which from people sending their regrets, as well as their reasons why they won’t be able to attend. Sad!
And now, ladies and gentlemen, the comments…

You lose the popular vote by millions and you can’t get people to attend your inauguration? That’s some “mandate”! lol
Low Country Boy
@Masc Pride: I agree, and you nailed it.

Everyone should reserve tickets and not show up.

Red herrings distract us. Petty popularity contests are not conducive to shrewd policies. Reserve voice for education, green living, and rights strengthened by unity. Our talent pool, enhanced by diversity, is still appreciated, even if our soon-to-be White House resident cannot see it. Coalesce and vote for candidates that are inclusive. We can turn this around, though the paths cut by this merry lot of thieves will cause financial burden and mayhem in 12 years or so. Imagine if President Obama had cooperation from Republicans. Imagine what we could have accomplished. Our country would have been nine times stronger than what President Obama was able to coax out of our deranged system. Obstruction stopped the rustbelt from getting infrastructure work because Republicans wouldn’t want the rustbelt to consider Democrats a viable option for them. They fell for it. Unions contained, for now, would likely have been rendered utterly toothless were Antonin Scalia able to rule on Friedrichs v. California Teachers. He gave up his ghost on February 13, 2016, so making union dues optional is on hold for now. We’ll have to see what the Heritage Foundation digs up for us. Further discounting the legitimacy of President Obama’s two terms, Republicans blocked Merrick Garland. They have designs for the Supreme Court. Who cares about Rockettes, dregs of entertainment worlds, and miffed and mortified Mormons? Focus on education. Join your local “Indivisible” crew and fight like you mean it. 2018 could make or break us. Fight and do not become distracted by lines of ladies exemplifying thighs o’ plenty, hive-stirring tweets, or unbecoming snideness towards and unpopular Twilight Zone candidate who got dumped out of a cosmic shoebox, emptied out into an Oval Office, the eyes of children peering through the windows.

HILLARY 2018!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bob LaBlah
Get this: not only is Tubby Keith the only country star that has agreed to play the inaugural but where as most inaugural parades are no less than four hours long Trumps inaugural parade will be just over an hour long. What does that mean? It means high schools across the country are NOT sending in their marching bands either. This Manchurian Candidate has to be waking up in the middle of the night knowing his days are numbered. He is well aware the very party he now leads, the GOP, are plotting to get rid of him.
RIGay
Idunno? He rented all those people to stand in Trump Tower to wave when he descended the escalators to announce his run. None of them are available for Friday? No casting agencies that can help?
NateOcean
So sad to miss this.
It really is a GOLDEN opportunity to SHOWER Trump with praise.
Or whatever else a pathetic plethora of pillow-pissing prostitutes can muster up.
TheFabulousThomasJ
I wouldn’t attend even if you promised me the entire stables of Sean Cody, BelAmi and TitanMedia would be there. No way, Jose.
GayEGO
So sorry Donnie, I have a lot of gay marriage weddings to attend that day and we are remodeling a lot of public restrooms to accommodate all genders.
batesmotel
You’re still obsessing over Donald Trump nearly three months after the election? What a sad pathetic person you must be to hang around with listening to you drone on and on about how upset you are that he’s the President of the United States. You would be miserably toxic to hang around.
1EqualityUSA
Bob LaBlah, you make it sound as though he shouldn’t fall asleep in the orchard, bathed in afternoon warmth. The GOP, ridding themselves of swamp things, will not repair their sorry reputations. A fetid whiff permeates their suits and ties. Reputations are once around and when tarnished, names never quite shine again. Silver sulfide folly gloms onto floral scroll work; acanthus detailing pushes up through the corrosion. A reputation is for life and beyond. Repudiation. Expunged from court documents and set down for years, a letter emerges. Perspective, a new being in the three decades that Coretta Scott King’s words, specific to Jeff Sessions, were on hiatus. For Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III, a letter’s justification is mortar and each word, brick. Nine pages of brick and mortar. Find out who votes for Jeff Sessions for attorney general and start there.

tried finding the video but it seems it might have been taken down but from some of the comments left it’s not surprising. i would have loved to see it just to revel in the groveling.

The “silent majority” seems to need constant reminding that they are not the majority but perhaps they should remain silent to avoid being the butt of jokes! If Trump’s lack of mandate, inability to adhere to ethics rules (or appoint people who possess ethics) and back pedaling on promises were not rude awakenings, perhaps a dreary, poorly attended inaugural will be.

@batesmotel: Is this Brian or that other ragged queen Alistair? I’ve already gnawed off one foot off trying to get away from your excessively tedious “rants” – is it a rant when listening to, or reading a post by either of you?

@batesmotel: Ha, ha, ha, ha…you are so darn funny…

Yes they are funny but will we be laughing after the impeachment and Mr. PENCE is sworn in? Mr. Trump is just an idiot who can’t keep his lies straight and daddy spoiled him and let him get away with sh**, but Mr. Pence is calculating, waiting in the wings, like a spider, ready to strip LGBT citizens of their rights in God’s name and women to give up rights to their bodies. Think ahead. Be ready.
Gian85
Back just for this.
Trump cheated his way in.
In no other country does someone win by losing by about three million votes. Not just that, but those who voted against him was 74-75 million (or 54% against him).
The Gambia just had a free and transparent election where the opposition candidate won with 42% to Jammeh’s 39% (jammeh doesnt seem to accept the result, but will be forced out if required). So a developing nation managed to have an election better than we did?
Electoral college lmao. Seems like a good tool of dictatorship. Give your supportive regions more electoral votes while under representing others.
Remind me why a vote in one state is worth more than others.
This election was a sham and the cat is already out of the bag.
If the GOP THINKS they can limit the damage from the major scandal involving Russia and dirty Russian mobster money flowing into the RNC, they think wrong. Trump will go down and take them with him.
Gian85
54% includes those who voted for Johnson and Stein.
Trump is not legitimate and is already tainted by a scandal that makes Watergate looks like child’s play. Yeah the GOP wants him out now, but the cancer has spread too deep.
Even Nixon looks like an angel now in contrast.
Gian85
By the way, look up Steve Mnuchin. You think Jeff Sessions is bad? You Trumpettes basically gave this country back to the hedge fund wolves. Will there be another Obama to clean up yet another republican mess?
Trump = William Tweed reborn.
dommyluc
Donald Trump?! I wouldn’t let that motherfu**er use my bathroom.
And I have a really nice bathroom. It even has a Golden Shower!

Just because you’re rich and love yourself doesn’t mean any of us have to love a narcissist. You don’t need anyone but yourself and have been so disgusting to so many people you now think people care anything about you and your feelings or lack of feelings for anyone but yourself. I was supposed to go to NYC this weekend but decided to stay in Louisiana. Thank god I have Netflix so I’ll have something to watch on Friday. I also will join others to watch your impeachment but then we have someone almost worse than you in charge. Thanks Republican Party for giving us 2 total LOSERS!!!
John
While I am not a fan of Trump (think Hillary is/was equally awful also) I cannot believe how nasty, mean and vile people are over this. For a group of people who claim to have been bullied, you must have taken lessons because the gay community is showing what they learned and let me tell you they are proving they can be bullies too. (or is your favorite movie “Mean Girls”?)
The gays had a fit and screamed “discrimination” over a christian baker not wanting to bake a wedding cake but they sure have no problem discriminating against Trump, his supporters or entertainers before the man even takes office based on the media reports.
Yes, you want him to fail but really at the cost of your own livelihood? really?
BTW- I read some of the things you wrote to intimidated, bully Jennifer Holliday…really after all the FREE appearances she has done in support of you and your causes? She wasn’t entertaing Trump but for the USA.
Embarrassed by my peeps shouting, chanting etc “love trumps hate” but spreading hate all the while doing it.
Neonegro
@Gian85: Looks like you need a lesson on how the US elects its president.
We don’t have a national election. We have 50 state elections and Trump won the majority of the states.
We are a federal republic, that’s why every state gets 2 senators regardless of the population.
I thought they explained these things in middle school.
Neonegro
@Gian85: The GOP will not only limit any damage but we will rule with our congressional majorities and there is little the democrats can do about it.
Tighten your seat belt, its going to be a bumpy ride for the left.
Neonegro
@John: Well said John. The most intolerant group in the country is the far left AKA snow flakes. The group if we relied on would lose every major war we have been in.
Thank You for the alpha red state males.

The bumpy ride is the impending promulgation, the herd name for six or more Goldman-Sachs hires, all in a room decorated in gold, deciding our fate.
jason_leeman
@John: Thank God I am not the only one that can see what you see John. The left and our very own LGBT have some of the worst bullies in the world.
jason_leeman
@Masc Pride: Lost the popular vote between NYC and LA by less than 3M votes. You want those 2 cities to decide who our President is? Let’s go by counties then. He won over 3,000 and she won just under 50. I think that sounds like a far better representation of the country. Or we could go by the number of states won. He won 30 1/2 (Maine), she won 19 1/2 (other half of Maine).
John
@jason_leeman: I also think the media stirs the pot in an attempt to create the raw emotion causing the hate.
On another tangent would Lewis who claims Trump is illegitimate, would he have equally claimed Hillary illegitimate since the DNC was caught “fixing” things in her favor against Bernie? Lewis blaming Russians but never pointing a finger at the inside DNC demise.
1EqualityUSA
David Duke didn’t endorse Bernie.
tony-e
@Gian85: Ironic that now Trump is happy for the Electoral College because it got him the White House, but at one point he was one of those calling to get rid of it. It needs to at least be reworked so that the popular vote is taken into account if it’s a certain percent higher than the electoral vote, like it was in this case
