It’s hard to believe, but it’s only been one week since Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced the House was opening an official impeachment inquiry into Donald Trump after an anonymous whistleblower alleged he illegally pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky into doing him a favor to help boost his 2020 reelection chances.

A lot has been uncovered since then. Here are the Cliff’s Notes: First, the White House released the transcript of the call, which confirmed the whistleblower’s allegations. Then the whistleblower’s complaint was made public, offering even more damning allegations about the lengths in which Trump and his cronies have been going to hide his illegal behavior from the American people. Then the special envoy to Ukraine abruptly resigned from the State Department. Then it was discovered Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani was involved in the bribery scandal. Then we found out Secretary of State Mike Pompeo knew about Trump’s call with Zelensky and did nothing. Then we learned Attorney General William Barr may have illegally pressured Australia’s prime minister into personally helping Trump.
