PHOTOS: Porn Gods Galore Descend Upon New York For Hustlaball 2011

We caught New York in the act at the annual HustlaBall on Sunday at Rebel, where  DJs Steven Redant, Eddie Elias and Pornstar spun in a all kinds of naughty rooms while adult-film superstars like Landon Conrad, Samuel Colt, Health Jordan, Brian Bonds, Jason Sparks and Gio performed scandalous fetish acts that amply displayed their… um, talents.

In the exclusive Hustlaball VIP room, fab drag-queen filmmaker Chi Chi LaRue held court as stars mingled with fans.  The Columbus Day Weekend bacchanal, sponsored by Rentboy.com and Manhunt, doubled as a benefit for The Callen-Lorde Community Health Center.

I wish gays would stop elevating porn performers to celebrity status or pretending
they are relevant as an important part of our community. Sure they can get me off
online, but I know they’re nasty, mostly troubled, often diseased, lazy, stupid,
druggies who have little else going for them.

  • Justin Luke

SO upset that I missed this. I NEVER know it’s coming until it already came :0/

  • Vinny's Vaseline Jar

Please don’t tell me you masturbate to horror movies too! Was the “Exorcist” good for a double wanking?

@Vinny: who wrote: “Sure they can get me off

  • BubbasBack

Porn gods?? Heheh, darn it, we must be pretty desperate as a community to see boys who can’t even work at my local car wash in Mobile in the role of “stars” and “gods”. Burp.

  • Phil

“Hey I’m going to insult a whole industry now just because. Maybe it’ll make me feel better for not looking as nice/having as much sex/being paid to have sex on screen or whatever. Maybe I just feel like being a dick for no reason at all.”

It’s a job. I neither praise them as some sort of god, nor do I feel some sort of need to villify them for what they do. That’s what mean people do.

  • Austin - not That Austin

I’ve always wondered what they say to their relatives at family reunions?
    Hi! How’s work?

  • jj

It’s gratifying to see that the straight men working in male/male porn stayed away from this event. At least that appears to be the case in the photos displayed. Perhaps it was a little to gay for them…

  • James

I am really not trying to cut them down, I swear. It just looks so…routine. Those photos look like almost every other picture I see of porn stars in clubs now. Some of them even look bored. Kinda like, here we go again. I do enjoy jerking off to their movies, don’t get me wrong! This just seems dull.

  • mike128

I agree that porn stars should not be elevated to the status of “gods” in the community. They may have a nice body – but the guys on this thread who are commenting that most of the porn actors are strung out losers are pretty much right.

  • chpinnlr

just so much amunition for the religous nutbags that preach that our community is all about sexual gratification…shame

  • CBRad

It’s not that big a (negative) deal, guys. There are heterosexual straight porn parties and award events too.

  • Little Kiwi

those of you sayign this will “make us look bad to straights” are completely and utterly clueless.

the “straight community” are the ones that make accepted mainstream stars and heroes and icons out of pornographers and adult-entertainment performers.

Larry Flynt. Hugh Hefner. Kendra Whatsherface and the other PlayboyBlondes who have their own (multiple!) reality series’ in TV. They’re famous for exposing beav’ for the gratification of heterosexual males.
HOOTERS – a restaurant whose gimmick is the freedom to ogle the breasts of the female waitstaff. Nevada – legal heterosexual brothels for decades. teen males always always always plaster their walls with images of barely-clothed females; it’s accepted. it’s time some of you on here realized that castrating yourselves and de-sexualizing yourselves in an attempt to not “offend” insecure straight people by trying to convince them that you’re gay, but not at all sexually active, will never earn you what you think it will. ever.

some of you puritanical ninnies need to wise up. all the de-sexualized attempts to not offend the straights won’t change things. people will ignore every “good’ example of a gay person if they can find ONE that they feel suits their preconceived negative idea. and you know what? sex aint negative. LGBT Equality, believe it or not, carries a component of sexual liberation along with it. so wise up and stop worrying about what bigots are gonna say – they’re gonna be bigoted against you anyway, porn stars or no porn stars.

  • bobbyv

    @Vinny’s Vaseline Jar:
I totally agree with (the orginal) Vinny.
You know, I have some old hand towels I keep in a drawer that I use to “clean up” after my partner and I have sex and that’s all they’re used for. As soon as I use them they become “cum rags” and I toss them in the hamper because they have served their purpose. I don’t use them to bath with, dust with, wipe down countertops, or even clean the toilet. So they rank below my bath towels, dish towels, and dust towels. And that’s pretty much how I feel about porn stars. I can use them for their intended purpose, but that’s pretty much the only thing they’re good for. They are usually troubled in so many ways, it’s best to stay away from them. So sure I can wack it to them, but leave my home to see them out in a club and party with them and hold them up as some sort of celeb or icon or spokespeople for the gay community!!!? No thanks…they’re cum rags.

  • Little Kiwi

bobbyv, in your attempt to slander those in the adult industry you instead made yourself look like a hypocrite. you “use” them, but then think you’re better than them. you’re not. at least they’re honest about their work. you’re dishonest about your enjoyment of their work.

  • bobbyv

    @Little Kiwi:
Wrong…I said I can wack it to them, so it’s obvious I enjoy their work. And I don’t think I’m better than anyone. But…certain choices you make in life can affect the way you are perceived. So if I choose to be a cop, I can’t be surprised if people see me as an authority figure. And if I choose to work in porn, I can’t be shocked if people think I’m nasty, have an STD, or am a lowlife. It comes with the job. You can place these guys in high regard, I choose not to.

  • Little Kiwi

I don’t place them in “high regard” – I just don’t think I’m above them like you do. You jack off to them, then say they’re lowlifes. You’re worse – you get off on “lowlifes” then act all uppity once you’ve shot your wad.

their work is honest. they work and it gets you off and then you act as if you’re better than them. you’re actually not. your stance actually puts you a few notches below them.

  • matt

@bobbyv: That’s a terrible analogy. Being an “authority figure” is basically a neutral judgment but “nasty lowlife with STDs” is obviously not. A fair analogy would be to say that if you choose to be a cop you shouldn’t be surprised when people see you as an abusive power-tripping asshole, and I would say that’s a ridiculous statement. Making strong negative judgments about people like that based on nothing other than their choice of profession is just stupid, no matter what it is. I don’t even watch porn and I couldn’t name a single porn actor but I have no clue why people get so bitter and angry whenever porn stars are mentioned on here. Why does the existence of porn stars mean you have to get all pissed off and call them sleazy STD ridden drug addicts at every opportunity? They do porn, who cares? There are good and bad people who do it, just like for every other job.

  • Little Kiwi

I’d rather a porn actor than a gay republican. at least the guy would have balls 😀

  • Michael

In this world especially with the economy the way it STILL is you have to make money somehow. Some aspects of the porn industry ive never respected but I am not gonna hate on people who give this community entertainment and pleasure. I’d never do what these people do but id never hate on them for doing it thats just being realistic.

Gorgeous pics also if I might add.Especially the last guy love blondes. 😀

  • ewe

I am so grateful i spent my teens twenties and thirties in gay ghettos or i would seriously think i had missed something important. That is to say this is all a bunch of bullshit. Vanity at its worst. I thought that then and i still think it now. It is amazing how many ordinary people think they are great looking.

  • ewe

oh honey and EVERYBODY IN NUMBER 3 should just put their clothes back on. Thank you.

  • Lefty

@bobbyv: I agree with you and Vinny. I masturbate and have sex purely as a means of release, but once the semen has ejected from my person I hold it and whatever turned me on in the first place in utter disgust. And this is in no way an unhealthy attitude. 🙂

  • Victor

I liked picture #7 – Hot Rod and his boyfriend, Angyl Valantino. The rest all looked the same to me. Bored. Indifferent. Disengaged. Gay porn marketing has been that way for years.

  • Top to Bottom

@ewe: Now that’s pretty damn awful. Guys who aren’t bulging with muscles are allowed to be proud of their bodies too, and I would say they look pretty damn good.

  • Storm

These guys are turning out to help raise money for an important gay cause. Like their bodies or not, like their professions or not, they are at least donating time and energy to give back to the community. What exactly were -you- doing again?

  • jason

Most of these people are club whores and appearance fascists. Moreover, I don’t want porn performers – I won’t call them stars – representing a gay rights cause. Porn performers are paid professional prostitutes. If we reduce gay rights to the act of prostitution, we are doing a vast disservice to our cause.

As for Chi Chi La Rue, he’s made a lot of money from the porn industry. Memo to Chi Chi: fuck off.

  • newt

Unfortunately this is what straight america thinks all gays do all the time

  • James

@Little Kiwi: Well, I can definitely agree with that!!

  • Persa

I’m a lesbian so maybe I’m missing some kind of gendered nuance here but WOW.

If you really believe that “straight America” thinks all gay men are porn performers then either YOU live under a rock or you think they do.

There are gay people, gay bars, gay community centers, PFLAG groups and GSA’s all over this country. “Straight Americans” are a LOT more aware of the diversity of LGBT folks than most folks here are giving them credit for.

Only ignorant people make grand sweeping generalizations about an entire group of people based upon their sexual orientation.

    It is the 21st century.

You can’t change a channel on tv, or watch a prime time show or read a newspaper, blog, website or turn on a mainstream radio station these days and not see thousands and thousands of gay men and women who aren’t porn performers or hear discussion of gay issues that have nothing to do with parties and porn, etc

No ACTUAL straight person believes all gay people are porn performers who go to parties and dance on platforms in tiny underpants anymore than all men believe that all women are playboy bunnies.

Gogo dancing, porn, stripping are JOBS!!!! There are famous actors who have done porn or gogo or stripped in the past and no one cares!

Since when are gay men so overly self-conscious about what homophobic straight people think and prudish about sex and sexuality?

Also, this event was a FUNDRAISER!

And, if you follow any of these boys on twitter or Facebook you’d know that the types of guys who do porn is a diverse as the type of guys who do any other type of job.

There are plenty of drug-addicted lawyers, doctors, traders and politicians, it doesn’t say ANYTHING about the nature of those jobs vis a vis addiction.

If you personally think that sex is dirty and anyone who performs sex or sexual acts for money is “dirty” “stupid” “incapable of doing anything else” that is your own IGNORANCE.

Don’t act like you’ve done some quantitative study that supports your myopic, biased, narrow-minded view of sex workers and sex work.

I’ve always thought older gay men were SMARTER than other folks when it comes to understanding this kind of stuff

Are y’all really so sheltered that you don’t know that LGBT folks are ubiquitous in US popular culture? That there is a very wide variety of types of LGBT people on tv, in movies, on YouTube, on the Internet in general?

Not to mentions that sex work is only PART of what most of those guys do to make a living. Some of them also do web design, attend university, teach, dance, work in the trades, etc.

The only people who would even SEE boys dancing at a Rentboy.com party or Hustlaball are people attending or people going to LGBT websites that talk about the events.

The Christian Right (and all affiliates) say the EXACT SAME THINGS about how evil, sinful and dangerous gay folks are regardless of our chosen profession. They hate us because we are gay, not because some of us do porn.

Do older conservative gays really not understand that the gay rights movement is not about being “good gays who don’t offend anyone” it’s about demanding our equal rights because we are citizens, PERIOD.

Come on guys, stop living in the 1950s.

There is nothing degrading about sex (in private or in public, for love or for money) if the folks participating are doing so consensually and being treated well.

Porn is just sex that other people can see (no better or worse than any other kind of sex).

Also, since when is being young and/or in good physical condition something that we must deride or mock people for?

Porn is a legitimate, legal industry in the US. It is now worse or better than any other industry in terms of corruption, exploitation, etc.

Some people fall into it but a lot of guys go into it because they love the work. It’s simple as that.

Just like all those other industries, only an ignorant person would presume to know what people are like just because they do a particular job.

All of this tsk tsk and tut tutting just seems so retrograde and anti-sex.

As a child of the 80s and 90s, I truly don’t understand it. Even amongst all the AIDS activism and talk about safer sex and massive condom distribution, I feel like I was surrounded by an adult LGBT community that was VERY sex positive and not judgmental of what kinds of jobs other LGBT folks chose.

Now it seems like folks have gone back in time.

  • Felix

@bobbyv: You see sex in such a negative light that even the towels who have been in contact with it are ranked below the others??? You think sex is so bad that even hand towels need to be punished for it? What’s next? You’re gonna tell us we should remain virgins until marriage?

And to all the people who claim that all porn stars are troubled people: how do you know that as a fact? I haven’t seen objective data on the topic. My hunch is you say that to comfort yourself because you’re so envious of their bodies and the fun they’re having with, all that because you are out of shape and confined to jerk off in front of the computer or settle down in a monogamous relationship and claim this is the only morally acceptable way to have sex.

Face it: there’s nothing wrong with people having lots of sex, except that it makes you envious.

  • Dave

Meh- I have met 3 porn stars in my life (and recently too!) -none of them made the slide-show on queerty. 🙁

  • ewe

@Top to Bottom: ok. To each his own. I guess it was mean of me to imply that stringbeans are not attractive.

  • Oaxaca78

    @Lefty:

I once read that lust and hate are similar emotions. I think you’ve just proved this.

  • anoir

I disagree with the overused term “porn stars”; I prefer to call them porn participants.

  • Ryan

who’s the guy in picture number #6, anyone?

  • Lefty

    @Oaxaca78: love and hate, surely???

  • Josh

I can’t believe how sad & repressed most of the posters to this thread are. Do you people get any joy at all from your sexuality? Do yourselves a favor & look into castration.

  • Ken S

All the sniping back and forth, while fascinating and enlightening and very reassuring as to the inherent decency of my fellow man, is a bit exhausting. For my part I just want to know, is there actually like a law on the books that stipulates that you *must* get tattoos to be a pornster? Because holy conformity, Batman…

  • jason

    Persa,

I am not against sex, I am against the the commercialization of sex. Big difference. The first is free, the second isn’t. The first is natural, the second is exploitation.

I’m also against porn being cloaked in the gay rights cause. It sullies the cause when this happens.

  • Daez

@chpinnlr: Religious nut bags don’t need “ammunition.” If we worshiped them like their followers do (instead of God) then they would still attack us. We need to live our lives the way we chose regardless of what others think.

While I don’t find porn full of “gods,” I would have to say that it strikes me ironic that a community filled with drug abuse and unprotected sex would decide to serve as some sort of example of community health.

  • TASTEY GOODIES

sex is fun, sex is natural, sex is best when it’s one-on-one, or 2,3,4, or more, 5,6,7,8, wow I gotta mastubate 9, 10, 11, send me 2 heaven.

  • shannon

THIS IS WHY PEOPLE SEE GAY PEOPLE AS SEX PREDATORS AND ANIMALS! YOU TAKE THESE DRUG ADDICTED PORN PEOPLE…ACT LIKE THEY ARE HAVE TALENT…ELEVATE THEM….AND THE WORLD LAUGHS AT US!!! GAY MEN ….PLEASE HAVE SOME SELF RESPECT AND SELF LOVE…SERIOUSLY….I AM ASHAMED TO BE SOMETIMES..

  • Lefty

    SEX IS EVIL!
    UNCLEAN!!!!!
    Think of the straight people!!!
    THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Little Kiwi

there are three network TV shows about women who’ve posed for Playboy magazine.

so what’s the deal? Flashing Beav’ doesn’t make straights look bad but gays not being puritanical about their own porn does? you people worry way too much about the excuses that bigotty nitwits give for their baseless prejudices.

  • Tom Breston

@Vinny: You are such piece of shit..

  • KO

No. 35, picture 6 is Arpad Miklos.
