THE SHOT – The scavenger hunt card that Get Equal volunteers will hand to guests of President Obama’s LGBT Pride Month Reception at the White House today. A Get Equal news release said, “The game is meant to be a fun but meaningful opportunity for attendees to step up the pressure on the Obama administration for full LGBT equality.” What does the winner get… besides web-notoreity and equal rights? Dinner with Robin McGehee would be nice, provided she doesn’t chain herself to the table.

her table manners are excellent, she would never be so gauche. Unless, of course, they asked her to leave for being a lesbian or something. Then it’s on.

We just had a few sweet victories. But we lost control of the House. We can’t expect much else unless we do very well in the next election. And Get Idiotic wants to make us into a wedge issue that could loose that election. Great timing, dingbats.

@WillBFair: If you keep voting out of your fears even though the 2party system goes in cycles anyway, you keep perpetuating the idea it’s ok for so-called leaders like Obama to be gutless about equality.
I’ll save my vote for a 100% alternative party equality candidate.

@jeff4justice: A 100% candidate? I think you’re being naive. Such a person couldn’t be elected dog catcher. Politicians dodge and weave. And we should get behind those who do it well on our behalf, not throw away our vote in fantasy land.

@WillBFair:
Yeah, because gays voting for people with a demonstrably scant interest in representing us is an absolutely BRILLIANT plan that has been sooooo successful thus far that not only do gay Americans today have fewer rights than gays in Canada and Mexico, but also such modern progressive nations as South Africa, Slovenia and Ecuador.
But Democrats have a plan to change this…when? Um, no. They don’t have a plan to do anything. Maybe someday. Keep hope alive!
We’d just throw our vote away if we voted for candidates who actually intended to aggressively represent our interests. Yup. That’d be a crazy thing to do in a representative democracy.
The mere existence of political parties besides your favorite kinda annoys you too, right? You one-party-state guys holding forth as if you’re uniquely politically savvy are a riot.
