The screwups at NOM have crossed a threshold this week, from “annoying” to “pure craziness.”
Despite marriage equality having definitively won in Pennsylvania and Oregon, NOM seems to think that they can still pull out a victory in both states. There are a couple reasons this is absolutely insane, starting with the fact that they are not even parties in the cases.
But even if they were, it wouldn’t matter, because the cases are over. Done. Decided. We won, the end.
And even if the cases weren’t over, and even if NOM was somehow allowed to participate, it STILL wouldn’t matter, because they don’t have a case. In the last year, anti-gay groups haven’t won a single court case, and they’ve lost nearly 20. Even if NOM was able to bumble its way into court somehow, they wouldn’t have anything persuasive to say once they got there. They’ve run out of cover.

It’s a lot more understandable if you recognize that NOM’s central purpose is bilking bigoted suckers out of their cash. Particularly those with deep pockets. So of course NOM won’t act like they’ve given up the fight– no matter how much it might clash with reality– until they’ve squeezed every single penny left to get from the rubes.

This will lead, if not interrupted, to the downfall of America. The biggest travesty is that the so called “gay rights” masked as equality justifies people who do not hold executive or legislative power to make and execute social policy. The reasons for this are rampant cronyism in the shady judicial appointments, absolute absence of transparency, brazen disrespect to basic ethics and morality. Then people wonder why most people respond in surveys that America is headed in the wrong direction.

So your argument fails there.

I think my most favorite part about all the opposition to positive Gay RIGHTS legislation is when your heads damn-near explode when it happens.

Your beliefs, in which you are completely entitled to, cannot and will not govern how, when, where, why and with whom I live my life.
IMO, the longer your belief system and its dictators stay in their incredibly antiquated past, the better. For you see, you’re loosing your numbers at an incredibly high rate, especially among younger generations of people, and the longer you retain your own status quo the quicker you will fall into obscurity, and quicker we all can live in peace.

You begin with fundamental fallacy, marriage in not fundamental human right. Marriage is a social policy, designated throughout the time to serve a certain aim. It can be argued whether is it useful at all, but it is clearly designated as a social policy.
You can do some research and find that sharia law in many places is real, not BS, you can also research how affects humanity (warning: if you have a frail nervous system, skip that).
Today the dictatorship, the infringement in other people’s lives (especially financially), is coming from the liberal left. As for the younger generation support, it is normal, they always used to be liberal, that will change overtime. Don’t bet on conservatives going away. There is a saying “if you are young and you are not liberal you don’t have a heart, if you are old and you are liberal, you don’t have a brain”
