Queerty is growing up. Or rather, our three-year growth spurt has caught up with us, and now that we’ve found a snazzy new pair of shoes that fit just right, we’re ready to embark on a new adventure.
But we’ll dispense with the metaphors.
Q.Digital announced today that it will consolidate five outstanding media properties — Queerty, LGBTQNation, GayCities, Dragaholic and Bilerico Project — to create the largest global LGBTQ online media publisher.
Last month, these sites’ combined traffic surpassed Here Media as well as that of Gay Ad Network. So, it’s like kind of a big deal. In the process, we’ve caused a stir, called out our heroes and had thoughtful conversations about important issues.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
With more than five million uniques each month, Queerty is the most popular LGBTQ editorial site in the world.
So, thanks! As cliché as it sounds, we couldn’t have done it without you.
In return, we vow to bring you more of the stories you love, even if we ruffle more than a few feathers in the process.
We’ve caused a stir with exclusive and outrageous stories that reach millions of readers:

Thanks, Queerty. The humor that our commenters bring to this site is so fun. My vocabulary has expanded over the years. Flagrante delicto, detritus, fucktard, gormless, and on and on. Thanks for existing. This watering hole has been a blast. I wish you all great success. Don’t change your logo. It’s easy on the eyes.

My spouse reminded me of another, “Schedenfreude.” love it.

“Schadenfreude” I was laughing too hard. Our dog puked in the bathroom, which caused a chain reaction of retching from my partner, who was cleaning it up. Kim Davis will never understand just how ordinary our lives really are.

@1EqualityUSA: In english, that’s “epicaricacy”. 🙂

I will settle for being able to comment and “Like” the Facebook links and articles again.

That police headline was debunked. Police Officers Sias Strydom and Brent Browning were married in South Africa in 2001.

I don’t even remember how I discovered you, Queerty, but I get the biggest kick out of your daily newsletter. Great fun! Keep it up.

Congratulations To The Gay Community on Queerty Moving Up
In all seriousness,
In order to understand and appreciate The Impact of Queerty on gay media, you have to go back a decade or so to a time when GAY BLOG MEANT GAY VICTIM STORIES.
Queerty may not have been first to go the fun gay route, but, with Queerty’s future seeming insured as a viable alternative to oh so serious gay victim blogs, actual real live gay people can rejoice in the idea that, possibly, there will always be gay media that contains something of actual interest to real live gay men.

there is “a whole lot of activity” going on right now with “gay media properties” (consolidations, properties going public and big media companies announcing gay themed programming). in re a news item that could be of some “interest” to Q.digital,
Vice Media has applied to trademark GAYCATION http://www.bitchless.net/index.php?showtopic=106634
Again, Congrats to Scott Gatz and Q.Digital
