Boy Band Heartthrob Calum Hood Casually Shares Dick Pic With Fans: “Now Ya Know What It Looks Like”

calum-hood-dick-picCalum Hood, the 18-year-old bassist of Australian pop/rock band 5 Seconds of Summer, sent the band’s fandom into a frenzied tailspin last night when he intentionally shared an explicit video of his dick with them on Snapchat.

The video, sent to anyone who follows Hood on the photo and video-sharing app last night, shows Hood from the neck down, slowly pulling the waistband of his underwear down to the point where his erect penis casually flops out.

Shortly after the video went viral among fans on Twitter, Hood tweeted the following confirmation that it is, in fact, a video that he wanted to share with everyone:

Usually we’re only treated to celebrity nudes and scandalous videos when they’re unintentionally leaked — this has to be one of the first times we’ve ever seen a celeb flash dick just for the sake of it.

How millennial of him! Why weren’t celebrities doing this when we were young?!

Head on over to Tumblr to check out the video (nsfw).

    ”Heartthrob”? Really, Queerty??

  • Stache99

We need more boy bands. Oh wait. I’m not a teenage girl. Never mind.

  • SportGuy

Really? Is this a joke! This is hands down gross! I will never understand how guys can find kids sexual.

  • robirob

Personally I find the casual approach refreshing. On the other hand though it can also come off as a PR stunt to establish the punk image brand of the band and ruffle the conservatives’ feathers and go for some shock value PR exposure.

I am not exactly sure though who the band’s demographic is supposed to be when one of the guys pulls such a stunt.

  • Kieru

@SportGuy: They probably find him sexual because he’s an 18 year old showing his erect penis to people. It’s a pretty sexual act.

  • JimboinLA

News flash Eighteen year old males get boners frequently. Not sure if a boy band member has ever had his member filmed before so that’s cool. As males we are taught to be ashamed of our penises. In fact we will be arrested if we expose them in public. I think this indicates that for young people who grow up with the internet penises are not that big a deal. Half the population have them. And IMAO Young Mr. Hood has nothing to be ashamed of. In fact he should be proud.

This seems a bit misleading. From what I read he did not expose himself to his fandom. He sent a snapchat photo to a girl he was chatting with. Snapchat pictures are supposed to be deleted immediately but you can capture it with a screen grab which is what this girl did. She then sent it to the world.

Unlike most other celebs he didn’t bother denying it was him. Instead he posted what you put out there. I think he was either just trying to make the best of it since it was out there or this was just part of a publicity stunt for the band who’s trying to be the new One Direction.

  • Merv

@SportGuy: He’s sexually mature and legally an adult. He may not be your or my cup of tea, but there’s nothing wrong with guys who admire him. Please, take your judgmental attitude elsewhere.

  • Brian

Thank you, Internet!!! I have no idea who this guy is, and I’ll forget this story by tomorrow, but I always revel in a bit of subversive middle-finger behavior. It’s a beautiful schlong, he’s of-age, and I love this story simply because it isn’t deserving of being a story. His nonchalant attitude is the best. Yay to silly, consensual nudity!

  • IcarusD

I love it when celebs like this own up to it instead of pretending it’s a fake.

Calum, don’t worry about this “mistake.” You didn’t do anything illegal or improper and have nothing to be ashamed of.

    • Stache99

Cute but of coarse it’s totally manufactured just like their band.

  • Xzamilio

But, really, would you be ashamed of having a decent member in your pants? Would YOU hide it? He’ll probably be getting laid left and right because of this… lord knows it won’t be because of his music.

  • james_in_cambridge

Well, I’m officially old ’cause though I do like my pop, R&B and hip-hop, I’ve never heard of this kid or his band. He is cute though, very cute.

  • callenstewart

  • kevininbuffalo

He’s an adult with a nice boner. Cool.

  • jmmartin

These “I’m just a teenage kid” excuses went out with Justin Bieber.

  • SportGuy

Well this is kind of to be expected from kids, thats why their kids and not yet adults, oh well. Still a lame excuse, I agree, but its what happens with kids like him.

  • Saint Law

@Merv: “He may not be your cup of tea, but there’s nothing wrong with guys who admire him.”

    There really really is though.

  • Bopper1

    …well thanks for that…

  • justyouandi

Why am I just now hearing about this? Of course it’s gone now, so does anybody out there have a screen shot? I really want to see it.

  • spanprof

At no point does his “thing” appear live. What are we reading, “People” Magazine?
