BREAKING: Ann Coulter Appearing On A-List Dallas. Also: Oceans Turn To Blood, First Born Die

We already told you there was a gay Republican on Logo’s newest spinoff series, The A List: Dallas. But apparently Taylor is a Star Wars fan too, because he’s wrangled Darth Vader—a.k.a. bleach-blond fascist Ann Coulter—onto the show.

Logo’s NewNowNext.com reports:

Hold on to your cowboy hats kids because there is a big surprise coming up on The A-List Dallas — an appearance from none other than Ms. Ann Coulter. While Ms. Coulter’s political viewpoints are a frequent source of debate, she has always been somewhat supportive of the gay community.

How can someone always be somewhat something? And Coulter supportive of the gays? Like when she endorsed Don’t Ask Don’t Tell? Or when she spoke in support of reparative therapy? Or when she throws the F-word around like NBA player?

The sad thing is, this could be the one opportunity for legitimate drama on a reality show and they’ll probably treat her with kid gloves. And naturally we’ll be watching.

The A-List: Dallas debuts Monday, October 10, at 11pm on Logo.

Never heard of A-List Dallas. LOGO seems to be in a race to irrelevancy. No wonder all the gays that I know and even the gays I don’t know, avoid LOGO like it’s the swine flu.

I’m with Justin. Why on earth would you watch a supposedly gay-friendly TV channel support a homophobe? If I want to see people who hate us I can watch Oral Robert. Logo has long shown they’re whores for money, but this has pushed it too far. Adios, Logo!

Funny—-you’re all basing your opinions on the presumption the Coulter is anti-gay. Why, because she affiliates with the Republican party? Well, if common sense were ever to enter the lexicon of militant gays, and you were to actually meet/speak to Ms. Coulter, your attitude might—just might—go from hate-monger to thoughtful individual. Wait a sec, what am I saying? Coulter could become a carpet-munching lez and you’d still hate her, becasue disdain for others unlike yourselves is apparently the status quo in the gay community.

Yet another reason not to watch LOGO. There are tons of smart interesting gay men out there worth devloping a series around. Instead LOGO scrapes BENEATH the bottom of the barrel. Now with Skelector they’re burrowing beneath the earth.

Has FOX acquired LOGO? I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it has.

There is no “presumption” that Cuntler is anti-gay, idiot, SHE IS ANTI-GAY: as in, she ADVOCATES that the next Rupugnantan president should repeal the DADT repeal; she ADVOCATES preventing gays/lesbians from marriage equality; she ADVOCATES the gays/lesbians should be barred from adopting.

actually, Thug, she’s anti-gay due to her almost constant anti-gay comments and ideologies. the fact that she aligns herself with the testicle-deprived wimps of GOProud only emphasizes the point.
GOProud hate being gay – they’re a group of resentful and reluctant homosexuals who can only find “tolerance” from their families and communities by adopting an identity of “I hate those lefty liberal gays.”

As I’ve said before, listening to gays complain about the Liberal Left is like listening to Ann Frank complain about attics.

Once again, Thug proves that his stances only exist via willful ignorance.

of COURSE Coulter is appearing on A-List Dallas – there are right-wing anti-black white homosexuals on the show who are still sucking up to their Republican parents. It’ll make for enlightening TV, finally Americans can see what a man suffering from penis-envy looks like.

Ann Coulter is as evolving on gay stuff as much as any other hetero. Egad; 40 years ago we were 100$ pariahs, and now we got a conservative vocal and visible woman on the board of a gay group that is embedded in the Republican party trying to move more people to a better place while trying to understand our rather conflicting “Leave us alone, include us” position. What do people want? An immediate conversion I guess; now that’s it’s gone on for 40 years, time to flip the switch, like a remote control or something.

Take the support, even if lukewarm and hesitant, where we can find it. Hell, probably our own parents went through the same evolution as Coulter is going through. And the more conservatives hang out with us, the better. Just as it’s good when yours truly, a sort of tea party gay guy, constantly tells Republicans & tea party people: “sissy smooching ain’t the problem.”

Meanwhile, when Democratic NY State Senator Ruben “Gays are worthy of death” Diaz goes on a Logo show or joins a gay group, let me know. Yeesh, persnickety people, demanding perfection pronto.

it should read: “Coulter has always pretended to be supportive of white homosexuals who lean-right and parrot GOP-styled bigotry and self-hating homophobia in order to suck up to their anti-gay parents.”

gay Republicans think she supports them but they also think that their parents support them and accept them.

      they’re wrong on all counts.

they’re merely “tolerated” because they neuter themselves as an act of subservience.

Logo execs are disgusting. Are they so desperate for ratings that they would stoop to this level? It’s obvious that it is a press ploy to get eyeballs and they don’t stop to think about how it affects our community. Are they going to ask Matthew Shephard’s killers to make a cameo in the season finale?

      @Politically Incorrect Thug:
But she’s not blanche. She’s a skeleton of a human with nary a wisp of any redeeming values:

“Marriage is not a civil right. You’re not black.”

“The Episcopals don’t demand much in the way of actual religious belief. They have girl priests, gay priests, gay bishops, gay marriages — it’s much like The New York Times editorial board. They acknowledge the Ten Commandments — or “Moses’ talking points” — but hasten to add that they’re not exactly carved in stone.”

Here at the Spawn of Satan convention in Boston, conservatives are deploying a series of covert signals to identify one another, much like gay men do.

You don’t want the Republicans in power, does that mean you want a dictatorship, gay boy?

I don’t know if he’s gay. But Al Gore — total fag.

These are just a few little gems. So no, I don’t consider her to be the byproduct of a genetic experiment gone horribly wrong simply because she’s a Republican. Hell, my parents and some of my co-workers are Republican and we can have a civil discourse. I can’t stand the woman because she is simply vile. So, as Maggie Smith said, “Put that in your pipe and smoke it.”

      @Politically Incorrect Thug:

Here are just a few Ann Coulter quotes, since you seem to be unaware of her stance on homosexuality.

“I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word “faggot”, so I — so kind of an impasse — can’t really talk about Edwards.”

“Here at the Spawn of Satan convention in Boston, conservatives are deploying a series of covert signals to identify one another, much like gay men do. My allies are the ones wearing crosses or American flags.”

To college student “You don’t want the Republicans in power, does that mean you want a dictatorship, gay boy?”

“I don’t know if he’s gay. But Al Gore — total fag.”

She said two things gays can’t do are ” “get married to each other and throw a baseball without looking like a girl.”

“In a democratic process, liberals could never persuade Americans to vote for their insane ideas abortion on demand, gay marriage and adoption, handgun confiscation, cross-district busing, abolishing the death penalty and affirmative action quotas.”

“Forget gays as Sergeants – this is why we can’t have them teaching 14-year-olds”
(in response to this story http://www.queerty.com/turns-out-that-no-gays-allowed-in-christianity-kid-is-a-homophobic-bully-20110928/)

She told GOProud crowd “Marriage is not a civil right – you’re not black.”

“Once [scientists] find the gay gene, guess who’s getting aborted?”

“I don’t care how many studies Ted Olson produces” about gay couples making good parents, because the ideal is “one mother, one father.”

“Liberals are attempting to teach kindergartners about ‘fisting. Most parents don’t want their children learning about the “homosexual lifestyle” instead of reading and writing.”

“Blacks must be looking at the gays saying, ‘Why can’t we be oppressed like that?’”

“Democracy sometimes leads to silly laws such as the one that prohibited married couples from buying contraception in Connecticut. But allowing Americans to vote has never led to crèches being torn down across America. It’s never led to prayer being purged from every public school in the nation. It’s never led to gay marriage. It’s never led to returning slaves who had escaped to free states to their slavemasters. And it’s never led to 30 million dead babies.”

“I should warn you: I’ve never failed to talk gays out of gay marriage.”

On praying the gay away – “No, there are some people, maybe they weren’t gay to begin with, maybe they were molested as children, …for liberals who believe that every polymorphous perversion is normal, you can’t imagine that you can you can go from being gay to being straight? It does happen.”

Regarding marriage equality in NY “the only reason I might be happy about it is they will shut up about it.”

“I not only want don’t ask don’t tell for the military, I want don’t ask don’t tell for all of society.”

“I not only don’t want open gays in the military, I don’t want open girls in the military. [I want} heterosexual men, the same kind of men who can be firemen.”

You get the idea. There’s more, but you have access to google too.

And this doesn’t even begin to address her offensive remarks on women, muslims, blacks, 9/11 widows, jews, rape victims, etc.

Huffington Post posted a story in 2007, about Coulter being seen at a gay restaurant in WeHo. When confronted by the writer, Rick Jacobs, she lowered her head, and covered her face with her hair, and refused to speak. That’s typical of bullies–when confronted on someone else’s turf, they fold.

What I find amazing is all the name-calling here on Coulter. I understand that when one is losing an argument, one has nothing to turn to but name-calling, but is that really the best you’ve got? And stating that she “has a neck like a tranny” is somewhat self-degrading, don’t you agree?

What exactly is the “argument” that people are losing? That many people find her offensive? That her own words reveal her homophobia? That it’s inappropriate for a gay/lesbian TV channel to give yet another conduit for Ann Coulter’s offensive opinions? Ann Coulter’s own words speak for her and are far uglier than any insult.

I’m quite dumbfounded that you would even think she is somehow anything other than a bigot. Reread some the quotes I posted. Is this how your friends talk about you? Mine certainly don’t.

Dallas men are are Democrats, PERIOD. This little twink is well known around town for liking the “daddies”, what better way to pick up a rich old man than to parade around as a republan’t.
The point is, Dallas as a city, is an amazing place. The 4th largest metro area in the nation, the largest urban arts district in the nation, the worlds largest gay church, the worlds largest gay men’s chorus, the first county to have an open lesbian Latina sheriff, more openly gay elected officials are currently in Dallas county than any other county in America. So, WHY on earth does LOGO put this kind of crap on TV? Because is sells. We all watch these train wrecks because it makes us feel better about our lives. Just like the suicide of a “real housewive’s” husband last month, WE, the consumer, make this type of TV, OK! The only way to stop it, STOP WATCHING!! Ann coulter can go lick a few instead of invading our TV’s!
