In case you missed it the first time, Brent Corrigan has reiterated that he doesn’t at all approve of James Franco‘s King Cobra.

Based on Corrigan’s porn career and deeply bizarre relationship with Cobra Video founder Bryan Kocis, the film received its first official US trailer last week and is finally coming to theaters on October 21.
In response to a Twitter fan asking about the veracity of the film, Corrigan said, “No true telling about it. Not approved by me. It tells a story with contempt for queer culture & mockery for porn.”
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
I gave them permission to use my name’s but explicitly made it clear that their story was heinous & not sanctioned. @FrancisMastroMJ

They told me they couldn’t change their screen play after we entered negotiations. The screenolsu was the fault line. @FrancisMastroMJ

He also claims the film makes a “mockery” of the gay adult film industry.
Related: The 5 Lives Of Sean Paul Lockhart, AKA Brent Corrigan
Starring James Franco, Christian Slater, Garrett Clayton, Alicia Silverstone, and Molly Ringwald, the highly anticipated movie chronicles Corrigan’s rise in the gay porn industry and Kocis’ murder at the hands of two rival producers.
According to the investigating coroner, Kocis was stabbed 28 times and his throat was cut, nearly decapitating him. His body was left in his house before it was set on fire. Officials had to use dental records to identify Kocis because his body was burned beyond recognition.
Kocis’ involvement and subsequent legal battle with a then-underage Brent Corrigan, aka Sean Lockhart, added an unhealthy dose of scandal to the already-nutso story.

The movie King Cobra was slapped together in about two weeks and it actually looks cheaply done. As said, the Snapped Killer Couples: Harlow Cuadra / Joseph Kerekes does a better job of telling The Bryan Kocis Murder. But,
The release of King Cobra has people talking about Bryan Kocis and Luzerne County Pennsylvania again, which is a good thing.
King Cobra looks like it was inspired by The Rolling Stone article on Brent Corrigan.

Calling GAY culture queer is what is contemptuous. We will not let all these uninvited others turn the words gay, lesbian and bixsexual into dirty words. The rest of you can take you little tacked on letters and hit the road. No one invited you in much less gave you permission to change our culture.
Charlie in Charge
@IDoNotHaveToAgreeWithYou: Who’s we? Queer is shorthand for lgbt… and look at the name of the site you are posting on?
san39730
Gay porn is not gay culture.
PRINCE OF SNARKNESS aka DIVKID
Outrage Culture strectches its tentacles of Holy Victimhood even onto those dignified denizens of the demi-monde, I see.
Xzamilloh
@Charlie in Charge: Queer is shorthand for Queer. I’m gay… I don’t want or need “queer” as some all-inclusive title for the “community” LGBTQ works just fine. And as for “Queerty”, that’s the name of the site, and nothing more.
Tobi
@Xzamilloh: I actually prefer homosexual.
IDoNotHaveToAgreeWithYou
@Charlie in Charge: You do know we already had the word gay as shorthand for GLB and don’t need a new word to make people who aren’t GLB feel welcome in gay rights. This is our movement, not the island of misfit agendas. Just because no one else wants all these groups, it doesn’t mean gays have to bow down to them.
Chris
Queer culture? Since when did he make queer porn? It’s called gay porn for a reason.

@san39730: – You may not like it, but gay porn is definitely part of the broad arc of gay culture. We all have different tastes, but we’re all gay. I’ve never been fond of drag, but I wouldn’t try to say it’s not part of the gay world.

I think I know the origin of the negative 1 out of 10 review on imdb.com.
@MarionPaige: WhIle ‘m not an expert on movie production, a two week movie production isn’t unheard of. The actual shooting of the movie pretty much has been discussed on here since last December.

Makes a mockery of gay men? Makes a mockery of gay porn – (ironically) but even still, it’s involving gay men so he’s going to make fun of it. That’s James Franco’s whole point: To exploit gay men, to use them, to mock them – because it gets him in the news. It keeps him relevant. Salon even pointed out how he exploits gay men and what an asshole he is. He IS an asshole. Gay men should wake up to that and not waste your money on this guy. Or, waste it. But, he’s making fun of you.

Porn is mostly a form of prostitution. It’s a world dominated by drugs, exploitation and all-round losers.
Porn is anti-homosexual too.
ChrisK
@Brian: Wow. You have so much in common with Porn then.

@chris_clb614: “I think I know the origin of the negative 1 out of 10 review on imdb.com.”
all will be revealed to anyone who cares on October 21.
I personally can’t wait for everyone to see the movie and, most importantly, for people to start asking how Bryan Kocis managed to get away with shooting gay porn in his basement in a residential community.

The other day I was watching National Geographic Channel and saw a program where a company in Miami specializes in helping people make and market their own porn. It seems crazy because who in their right mind is still paying to watch porn? This movie is about the time where in porn fortunes were to be made and lost. That was a long time ago. Ask Harlowe, his lover Joseph and Chichi Larue how easy it is to hit the bottom after riding the high waves and if the fortunes to be made are still there. You don’t go into business just to break even, which is what most porn companies are doing once overhead and all are factored in.
lykeitiz
Brent Corrigan is writing his own book about the experience, so of course he’s going to keep commenting about this. Personally, I can’t wait to see it, just because I’ve followed the story for so long.
highestbidder
You just gotta remember Mr. Lockhart was gung ho for this project until he realized they had no interest in hiring him or giving him a fat check.
MarionPaige
it will be really interesting whether or not Bryan Kocis’ sister sues the King Cobra production. How’s it
Watching Molly Ringwald play “you” in a movie and you’re getting nothing? It seems
The only reason King Cobra is claiming it is based on a book is for lawsuit protection. The movie (which I have seen) looks more like it was based on The Rolling Stone article.

@highestbidder: There’s much truth in that statement.

I wonder if he’s seen the movie. I have. Just got home from a press screening (thanks nameless friend!). It’s the best Lifetime movie on the subject of murder in the gay porn industry. ‘Brent’ comes off looking pretty sympathetic. I can understand his annoyance of how he was treated by this films producers. They should have paid him a fair fee and given him a Producer credit.
James Franco is way over the top (and… dude… it’s ok to come out as at least Bi).
Garrett Clayton… come on out. It’s fine. I guess there will be no ‘Teen Beach 3’ in his future.
It’s not brilliant, but it’s not the train wreck I was expecting.
JPDonahue
@highestbidder: Having just seen it… he has a right to be pissed. ‘Brent’ is front and center in it.
