A right-wing internet radio personality who was hired as a keynote speaker at a GOP fundraiser has come under new scrutiny after referring to Pete Buttigieg as “Mayor Pete Buttplug.”
To add injury to insult, Dave Daubenmire followed up his idiotic nickname by professing “We need to make homosexuality unthinkable again.”
While the internet ramblings of a man who goes by “Coach Dave” (shudder) might not normally cause a blip on our radar, Daubenmire made the comments just one day after giving a keynote speech at a GOP fundraising event for Ohio’s Harrison County Republican Party.

And it’s not as if the party leaders were unaware of Daubenmire’s take on the world before they shelled out money to have him appear at their event. Daubenmire’s radical, hateful views are exactly what make him an appealing figure to the “family values” group.
He went on to speculate on Buttigieg’s sex life, a trend we’ve seen among homophobic “activists” since the beginning of time. For people with such a strong and moral opposition to homosexuality, they sure do spend an awful lot of their time obsessing over gay sex.
“[Buttigieg] doesn’t even take the leadership role in his home, because he has a husband [with] he being the wife,” he said. “If he is the wife, does that mean that he is the insert-er or the insert-ee? Which role would Mayor Pete play?”

“We live in a society where we are giving serious consideration to a man who performs oral sex on another man. We have to make this stuff unthinkable again. We have to … What he does in his own home is, in fact, his own business until he wants to be president of the United States. When he wants to be president of the United States, I want to do some scrutiny on what type of moral character this guy has. And I’m just telling you this: if this guy’s moral character involves doing what I believe he does have to do in order to have an orgasm, I got a problem with it.”

The fact is majority of rabidly homophobic people like Dave Daubenmire are closeted gay men, raised with a strict religious upbringing, who are fighting their own demons every day and like all true republicans, they deflect attention away from themselves and accuse others for what they are most guilty of.
Because people like this are so closeted, they act out and resort to having unhealthy illicit sex.
No one should be surprised if they read in the newspaper that Dave Daubenmire was arrested for being caught with his pants down with a teenage boy in his garage or caught in a public park bathroom soliciting sex from a undercover cop.
