Creating Change, the annual conference from the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, kicks off today in Dallas. Dan Choi is going to speak! Don’t Ask Don’t Tell is going to come up! And some two thousand LGBT activists, before bum rushing the stage to see dance troop Vogue Evolution perform, clamoring for the gift bags stuffed with samples from the conference’s sponsor Wet Lube.
And there’s a trailer!

wow. as if gay activism couldn’t get any less sexy.
You know you’re in trouble when a Hillel Retreat looks like more fun.

There is no change being created. Even the Program hasn’t changed. NGLTF makes a lot of money with this conference, but we don’t get anything. That’s how Gay Inc. works.

@Brian NYC:
Yep, where the hell are they the rest of the year.
I went once. One session I attended was led by self identified “poly-amorous queer female” barely out of college whose idea of “working effectively with volunteers” was saying “great job” during a role play…of wait for it…stuffing envelopes.

This looks like about as much fun as a Ta-Nesissie Coates poetry reading.

They has been rated a low two stars at Charity Navigator. They squander their revenue. Bad management spending way too much on parties and salaries. I won’t give them a dime.
When Matt Foreman was CEO they were rated 4 stars.
