Calling all SXSW attendees interested in sparking a timely discussion about the federal striking down of Texas’ marriage ban (and/or looking to enjoy some free cocktails).

Queerty editors will be in Austin next week to moderate How Social Media Is Creating Marriage Equality, an official SXSW core conversation with Matt Baume from the American Foundation for Equal Rights and Brendon Feldman of YouTube.

True to the Queerty spirit, our event is not a panel but a moderated conversation. If you’re attending SXSW this year, come and join the conversation taking place on Monday, March 10 at 5pm at the Austin Convention Center in room 5ABC.

Immediately afterwards, we’ll continue to meet, mingle and be merry but at nearby hotspot The Madison. The unofficial LGBT@SXSW Cocktail Mixer will bring the movers, shakers and heartbreakers of SXSW together for a swanky evening of free cocktails and luscious music. Plus, an interactive photo booth so you can take your SXSW memories back home with you. This cocktail mixer is totally free and open to the public, just make sure to RSVP by clicking the link below.
