Even flying monkeys can fall in love as demonstrated by video of the marriage proposal of dancer-models Daniel Robinson (above left, before he grew his sexy signature beard) and Josh Daniel Green, who is currently featured in the cast of the Broadway blockbuster Wicked. During the curtain call of the Christmas day performance, Robinson surprised his longtime bf Green by pulling him in front of the cast, dropping to one knee and asking for his hand in marriage. Who says romance is dead?

It just seems crazy that moments like that can’t be intimate because dudes are so desperate to be the center of attention, craving for validation. After awhile, it’s like I just ignore these guys because they are feeling entitled like they’re some celebrities or something. These self important dudes really don’t realize how bad they make themselves look. If they love each other and think they are sexy, all that and etc, fine. I would like to know if you would be saying the same thing if it was a straight couple doing what they did.
I say good luck to them. And maybe it wasn’t to get attention maybe it was a simply a act of love and wanting to share it with there friends. Remember the curtain was actually down. Maybe it would have been attention seeking if it was up but it wasn’t.
Lots of straight couple do things like that all the time. How is it different. Oh yeah because they are gay big whoop. Who really cares if they are gay or straight or what they are as long as they are happy. And to be honest you don’t have to click on it to watch the video. You could have simply read the headline and looked away.

It seems to me people only shed a tear for “ideal” couples. Couples who are good-looking and in good shape. If the couple is anything but (non-white, unattractive, overweight, 35+, poor, etc.) the support goes way down. Ideal couples naturally get more upvotes so it would make sense that blogs like this would post them. I think couples that represent the average gay man is more romantic because it’s more relatable. People are so obsessed with being beautiful, rich, and popular. These are seen a cures for the amount of rejection and abandonment we received as children growing up gay.
Seeing the multiple nude selfies definitely sucked the romance out of the whole story.

The curtain was down. The theatre audience did not see the proposal, only the cast and crew did.
I too, thought the audience would get to see the proposal, but they didn’t. So, @moldisdelicious has it wrong, too, they did not make a grand public spectacle, they did it in front of friends and co-workers, and as such are not seeking validation from anyone. It was a beautiful thing to do, and I am glad it was recorded so that others can see that sweetness, too.

I knew his name and face looked familiar. TOTALLY disagree with the writer!!! — he looks way better without the beard. I can’t wait until this ridiculous, LAZY “lumbersexual” fad disappears and we go back to looking like civilized, well-groomed men.
