Three football players at a Pennsylvania high school have admitted to and will stand trail for hazing another player in the locker room.
The unsettling incident happened at Conestoga High School in Berwyn back in October 2015. The three players, who were all 17 years old at the time, sodomized a younger teammate, who has been described as an “outcast,” with a broomstick.

According to reports, the teenagers demanded that the younger player clean the locker room in his underwear as part of a hazing ritual. When he refused and tried to leave, one of the older players told his two friends to “stick a broom up his ass.”
How about we take this to the next level?

Two of the players held the younger player down as the third began poking him between the legs. They were also accused of putting their genitals on the victim’s head.
The incident occurred on what is known among students as “No Gay Thursday,” when older players allegedly do “gay” things to younger players as a form of team initiation.

“This is a simple case about ignorance, violence and a shocking lack of supervision,” Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan says. “All this happened under the noses of the coaches because they were not there to supervise these students and let this happen by not paying attention.”
The Chester County District Attorney’s office and defense attorneys for the three football players released a joint statement this week saying the youths “have accepted responsibility for their conduct. They have made an admission to the criminal summary offense of harassment.”
A trial has been scheduled to begin next Tuesday, although parties said, “all the records are sealed and the parties will not be making any further public comment.”

If they’re convicted, lock ’em up!

I’m sure Trump thinks this is just “locker room banter”.

Doing “gay” things on “No Gay Thursday” seems pretty gay. Also it implies that the other 4 weekdays are even more gay!

Because of the danger of life threatening injury, permanent damage or death from this sort of thing (a perforated rectum or colon can easily cause death from peritonitis in 24-36 hours just as a burst appendix can), these boys should be tried for attempted murder. In NYC in 1997 two police officers raped a mistakenly arrested man with a broom handle resulting in 2 months of hospitalization, 4 surgeries and permanent damage to his colon and bladder. The officer who actually committed the rape got 30 years without parole, the assisting officer got 15 years.

@dwes09: That’s the problem with public schools. These animals need to be segregated to somewhere else and put under lock down. It will happen again if they let them loose. Wolves among the sheep.

Remember this is Penn. and football is sacred. Nothing will happen to them except maybe a 3 month probation and the cleaning of all the judicial records.

Bit of a catch 22 thing going on here.
No coach the hazing thing gets out of hand. Coach hanging around boys changing room!!
Although personally both these scenarios paid off for me, but I was such a tart back then..

This sort of thing happens far more often than people are aware of, and it happens seemingly regardless of class and race, and even religion or region. A school in the most wealthy suburban school district in suburban St. Louis MO, was sued successfully for not protecting or properly responding to a male student being bullied serious for being gay, and in fact, it was reported they blamed the victim on being victimized. (The norm, it seems.) A year or so ago, a similar like-incident occurred in the same area’s prestigious Christian school. In schooling environments where there is a conservative religious-morality present, this sort of abuse, and anti-gay bulling is more common. It’s simply aprt of the values taught and then realized. Worse, it’s more common for lgbt students in these schools to have attempted or completed suicide. While I had not attempted it, two gay / bi guys in my private Catholic Jesuit Prep School attempted suicide on New Year’s Eve. I am about 45, so the change in acceptance should be factored into a less-angry approach to these sort of schools, particularly Catholic ones, where it’s pretty evident anti-gay harassment and bullying is far less okay than back in my day. Often in a single-gender environment, homophobia is a heightened awareness within the student body and part of a hostile outsider view of that school, often using homophobia to slander the suspect all-single-sex school. The students reflect that as well, hyper-aware and overtly-aggressive towards any suspect homosexual action or presence, when it serves to sully and support the gay-ish sort of perception that many students in single-sex schools face. The irony is very clear in this case: homophobia and masculinity is forced by the use gay acts to counter gayness. Hazing in high schools, sports teams and fraternities often use some sort of anti-gay punishment to enforce heterosexuality, and the rule and law of that. ( And yes, pornos play on that, to craft a possible sexy premise. ) It’s no big shock or insight made: a culture that validates, even encourages homophobic lessons, are what is taught and learned. A fine organization, GLSEN, “Gay, Lesbian Straight Network”help schools best directly tackle homophobic environments No, i’m not directly affiliated with this lgbtq student advocacy organization. Contact GLSEN Dot Org, and buy a ‘Safe Space Kit” to send to the school of your choice. They’ll follow through with it, providing meaty tactics, resources, necessary language, and plans to create a tolerant atmosphere. NO child should feel intimidated to learn or even show up, and the dropout rate and lessened-attendance rate is disproportionately high for lgbtq students, everywhere.
