WATCH: Katie Couric Interviews Judy Shepard On Daytime Show

On today’s episode of Katie, host Katie Couric sits down with parents who have suffered unimaginable loss in an episode called “Moving Forward After The Unthinkable.”  In it, the former Today show anchor talks to Judy Shepard about Matthew Shepard’s murder in 1998 and its aftermath—including how Judy changed the mind of a homophobic investigator assigned to Matthew death and how she’s keeping her son’s legacy alive today.

Couric also talks to Moisés Kaufman and Leigh Fondakowsi, who are staging The Laramie Project and The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later at BAM in New York in February. Mrs Shepard will be at an artists’ talkback at the theater on February 16.
